Job Description

  • The dispatch rider receives instructions from the client service personnel about where and when to collect packages, food orders and the destination address for dispatch.
  • Dispatch riders sign for the package on collection, and get an appropriate person to sign for it upon delivery
  • Plan and follow the most efficient routes for making deliveries
  • Record information, such as items received and delivered
  • Perform routine maintenance on bikes, such as monitoring fluid levels and replenishing fuel.

Qualifications

  • The candidate must possess a Secondary School Certificate (SSCE).
  • Enjoy motorcycling and be a skilled rider
  • Possess a rider’s permit
  • Be physically fit
  • Be reliable and punctual
  • Be able to work on your own
  • Have good literacy and numeracy skills for delivery and expenses records
  • Have the ability to read and follow maps and guides, plan and learn routes
  • Have a mature attitude
  • Be friendly and presentable.

Job Description

  • It entails conveying materials, equipment, and staff of the company to areas where they are required.
  • Transport products, materials, and staff securely to areas where they are needed
  • Guarantee that products and staff are protected and secured
  • Ensure timely conveyance of staff and materials to and from places as instructed by supervisor or the manager
  • Ensure that vehicles are kept perfect and clean at all times by washing both the inside and outside parts of the vehicle
  • Carry out routine checks on vehicles and ensure they are sound
  • Recognize electrical and mechanical faults and report to the employer or technician
  • Perform periodic maintenance on vehicles, such as changing batteries and motor oil at appropriate time, as well as refueling the car(s)
  • Report any case of accident, injury or damage of vehicles to the supervisor or manager
  • Keep all records, including receipts for vehicle maintenance
  • Keep up a travel log to record areas travelled to, travel time, and work hours
  • Pay tolls and other fundamental vehicle demands
  • Dress professionally and in accordance with company’s dress code.

Qualifications

  • Interested candidate must possess a minimum of SSCE with at least, four years driving experience.
