Key Responsibilities
Responsible for Corporate and Travel Agent Room Sales for the hotel.
Identify new markets and business opportunities and increase sales.
Represent Hotels in various events and exhibition.
Implements all sales action plans related to market areas as outlined in the marketing plan.
Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings.
Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Acquiring and developing new business accounts and preparing sales proposals for clients.
Closely following up on all business leads.
Participate in sales presentations aimed at pitching for business across pre-determined locations as required in the sales/marketing scorecard.
Key Requirements
Minimum of 2 – 3 years Relevant Sales & Marketing experience in any recognised financial Institution, Insurance or Telecommunications company.
Bachelor’s Degrees with Minimum of 2.2 ONLY
Must be very young, intuitive, agile and smart.
Must be very presentable with excellent communication skills.
Must be willing to work within Kano and Abuja

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to be based in Kano to prepare a variety of desserts, pastries or other sweet goods. Your skill in baking high quality treats should be matched by your creativity to develop new amazing taste and recipes. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in culinary arts with a passion for sweet and delicious creations. They must adhere to health and safety standards to provide clients with the best possible serving. The goal is to enhance customer satisfaction so that we can maintain and expand our clientele.
Responsibilities
Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following traditional and modern recipes
Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers
Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting
Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget
Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking
Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently
Identify staffing needs and help recruit and train personnel
Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards
Requirements
Proven 3-4 years 4/5 Star Hotel relevant work experience as Pastry Chef, baker is a MUST
Great attention to detail and creativity
Must be proficient in the use of Opera and Micros
Must be very presentable with excellent communication skills.
Must be willing to work within Kano.
Organizing and leadership skills
Willingness to replenish professional knowledge
In depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Executive Chef, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Manage all Kitchens in the absence of the Executive Chef
Create all food menus with the guidance of the Executive Chef
Complete daily market lists to ensure quality food ordering while maintaining budgeted costs

Interact closely with the Catering department to assist in function menu co-ordination and meet with clients as required
Conduct daily shift briefings with all Sous Chefs

Balance operational, administrative and Colleague needs
Ensure proper staffing and scheduling in accordance to productivity guidelines

Plan the food design in order to create a perfect match between the dish’s aspect and its taste;
Train the auxiliary kitchen staff in order to provide best results in minimum time and using at the maximum the available resources;
Create tasting menus for customers interested in contracting the food for different events (wedding, banquets, corporate dinners, birthday parties, etc.)from their kitchen;
Must be great with variety of dishes ( e.g Nigerian cuisine)
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
