Job Title: Accountant
Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Analyze business operations, financial forecasts, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations to project future revenues and expenses to provide effective advice and reporting where and when required.
  • Advising on expenditure and revenue trends.
  • Develop, maintain and analyze budgets, prepare periodic reports, and compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
  • Liaise with Manager – Procurement/Garmtrade to develop, implement, modify and document record keeping, inventory management and accounting system using current technology.
  • Work closely with HR and Admin department to administer payroll and other functions related to remuneration of staff
  • Administration of staff salaries, other benefits and compensation.
  • Administration of competitive product prices and tariffs on services.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payments of government taxes and levies.
  • Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
  • Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by analyzing account information and substantiating financial transactions by conducting document audits.
  • Secure financial information by completing database backups and maintain financial security by following internal controls
  • Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements
  • Ensure proper and effective accounting procedure by researching and interpreting accounting policy regulations
  • Maintain confidentiality with operations and customer confidence.
  • Accomplishes results and contributes to team efforts by performing required duties
  • Prepares forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel and, directs their work activities.
  • Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, financial reports and other financial statements to assess accuracy and ensure these reports conform to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Prepare financial statements that may include monthly, quarterly and annual accounts based on financial information that is compiled and organized.
  • Prepares asset, liability and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
  • Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payments, reporting and other tax requirements.

Requirements
Required Skills and Competencies:

  • HND/B.Sc. in Accounting or Finance from a recognized institution.
  • Must be ACCA or ICAN certified
  • Articulate with adequate communication skills, interpersonal skills, strong team-building abilities, and negotiation skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to apply initiative in executing tasks.
  • Age limit: 30 years and below
  • Knowledge of basic accounting software usage such as Peachtree or Sage.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Clients (Word, Excel & Powerpoint).
  • Must have previous experience dealing with reconciliations, invoices, and sales ledgers.
  • Proficiency in budgeting and budgetary controls
  • Strong analytical, technical, numeracy and financial skills to aid in executing tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Strategic planning and thinking abilities.

 

Job Title: Supervisor – Printing
Location
: Lagos

Job Description

  • Coordinating, scheduling, facilitating and monitoring printing and production services
  • Developing database and maintaining job log for assigned projects.
  • Providing direction and support during scheduled interruptions to accommodate emergency requests;
  • Approaching a new project by meeting with Retail/Customer Service Associates and clients in order to understand the client’s vision, needs and requirements
  • Researching material and labor costs, as well as project time frames in order to create a bid for the clients
  • Evaluating quotes and use cost-benefit analysis to determine the best source for the job.
  • Working with the graphics designers in order to ensure the integrity of the client’s design and manage project quality by reviewing design specifications and troubleshooting any issues, such as font size and image alignment.
  • Communicating with clients regarding production stages and project status.
  • Inspecting and verifying that completed projects meet quality standards.
  • Monitoring all printing systems to ensure appropriate and safe procedures are followed as required by operation manuals.
  • Maintaining inventory of materials, ink, toner, and other consumables.
  • Ordering supplies and verifying accuracy of billing.
  • Effectively coordinating priorities of various production functions simultaneously.
  • Follow strict production timelines.
  • Recommending efficient, time-saving project production flows.
  • Meeting and communicating with clients to understand their orders
  • Working with the Company Accountant to ensure prices reflected in invoices are accurate
  • Identifying and selecting appropriate options for special printing processes.
  • Recommending the best printers for the specific project.
  • Writing effective creative briefs and print specs that reflect client goals, printing requirements, scheduling, and budget constraints.
  • Selecting and negotiating with vendors to agree on best price, quality, and due date.
  • Communicating the designer’s requirements to vendors.
  • Creating and managing print production schedules
  • Examining finished samples and approving quality before delivery to client.
  • Reviewing, negotiating, and approving final invoices for payment.
  • Performs other related duties commensurate with the requirements for printing and production as may be assigned.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as listed above.
  • Progressive experience working as a lead in business printing and production needs.
  • Must have problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of duplicator offset press and Macintosh platform.
  • Knowledge of design software: CorelDraw, PhotoShop etc
  • Extensive customer service experience
  • Ability to proficiently use Publisher, In-Design, Adobe Illustrator and other desktop publishing programs is an added advantage.
  • Exhibit good knowledge of Quality Management System
  • Exhibit good knowledge of color combination
  • Strategic planning and thinking abilities.
  • Articulate with adequate communication skills, interpersonal skills, strong team-building abilities, and negotiation skills.

Job Title: Graphics Designer
Location
: Lagos

Job Description

  • Meet with clients, the CTO and the Director of Design to determine the scope of a project.
  • Advise relevant parties on strategy appropriate to reach the desired audience.
  • Present visual content to clients and the appropriate directors as well as incorporate recommended changes into the final design.
  • Select colors, images, textures and shapes to create the layout
  • Prepare and upload product images and related visuals for the site www.garmspot.com
  • Create visuals that identify a product, convey a message, or both.
  • Select the size and arrangement of the different elements.
  • Use computer software to create electronic versions of designs.
  • Employ color, type, illustration, photography, animation, and various print and layout techniques when designing project.
  • Develop signs and environmental graphics.
  • Create promotional displays, packaging, and marketing brochures for Garmspot and its subsidiaries
  • Develop the layout and production design of magazines, newspapers, journals, corporate reports, and other publications.
  • Remain well informed on competitors and design trends.
  • Submit rough drafts to management for approval and make changes upon request.
  • Review designs for errors before printing or publishing.
  • Review website for anomalies.
