Job Title: Design Engineer (HVAC)

Job Summary
- HVAC design engineers create and develop refrigeration and heating systems for commercial and residential properties. HVAC design engineers report to the project manager or Design Team Lead.
- HVAC design engineers must go to various construction sites and properties to assess heating and cooling needs and design various systems to address these needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Design HVAC Systems
- Create heating and cooling systems and their controls.
- Calculate Heating and Cooling Needs
- Make load calculations to determine how much heating and cooling power various equipment must put out in order to heat or cool spaces when needed.
- Interpret and Draft Plans
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and blueprints for new construction projects. They also draft new plans to design ductwork and piping systems.
- Calculate Ventilation Requirements
- Calculate ventilation requirements based on the types of systems needed.
- Determine Budget Costs
- Determine costs for heating and cooling systems and write up detailed budget estimates.
- Coordinate with Others
- Coordinate and collaborate with architects and engineers when designing heating and cooling systems.
- Adhere to All Building Codes
- Follow all building codes and obtain proper building permits when necessary.
Requirements
- BSc, BTech /HND or M.Sc. (or its equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable and accredited higher institution of learning.
- Minimum of 5 years post NYSC experience working in same capacity and industry
- Must be a registered member of COREN & NSE.
- Candidate must have expertise in AutoCAD, and Revit has an added advantage.
Job Title: Design Engineer (Electrical)

Job Summary
- Electrical design engineer in the design of the electrical system like earthing, lighting, cabling, preparation of single line diagram, communication, fire alarm etc. including system calculations and drawing preparation.
Job Duties
- Plans and schedules assigned work and determines staffing needs to meet the project milestones and assumes responsibility for meeting man-hour budget and project schedules for all work assigned to the group or subordinate personnel
- Monitors work for compliance with approved design standards and to provide for efficient and quality design, reliable plant operation and economy.
- Plans, Schedules, conducts and co-ordinates with minimal supervision.
- Receives technical guidance from Group Leader, Design Supervisor or Electrical specialists only on unusual or complex problems, performs 3D modelling extraction from 3D model 2D drafting when required.
- Supervises and prepares design and drafting procedures to standardize the design effort.
- Supervises and reviews quantity take-offs.
- Reviews and defines engineering scope changes as required.
- Endorses or prepares reports for work progress for project discipline use.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of computer applications to design work and promotes maximum and efficient use of computers.
- Assists less experienced personnel in the performance of their assigned tasks.
- Performs interdisciplinary checks.
- Assists Lead Engineer in maintaining project Contract review, KPI, Change Tracking, Schedule Tracking, Productivity and dashboard reporting, Value Engineering, Lesson Learnt etc.
- Review design documents, Subcontractors/ Vendor documents for technical compliance.
- Performs technical audits as and when required.
- Prepares, reviews or monitors project controls, cost estimates, quantity take offs and manpower requirement.
- Gives on-the-job training, promotes development of subordinates, evaluates and counsels assigned personnel.

Job Title: Project Engineer (Mechanical)

Job Summary
- A Mechanical engineer is an engineer who is assigned to handle mechanical problems or engineering issues at a building, work site or other location.
Job Description
- Provide Mechanical and Electrical inspection, troubleshooting and evaluation services
- Run the finances of the Project through the instruction of the Managing Partner
- Coordinate all technical issues within and around the Project
- Reading design specifications and technical drawings prepared by other contractors
- Represent the company on all meetings and requests by the client
- Prepare conceptual designs, working and As-Built Drawings for projects engaged by the company.
- Manage and maintain client relationships and communicate with clients to explain proposals, present research findings, establish specifications or discuss project status.
- Develop and implement design and construction of assigned projects according to laid down specifications or standards
- Providing analytical and problem solving support, employing engineering skills, in support of business and quality improvement processes.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals, bill- of quantities and documentation (Operating and maintenance Manuals)
- Advise and assist in obtaining patents or meeting other legal requirements.
- Maintain an awareness of trends, knowledge of the market and may also conduct research / market intelligence in the field of expertise.(Material sourcing and price Intelligence)
- Motivate and train staff as the need arises. Provide management and leadership skills, including some level of administration.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
- Confer with engineers, regulators, vendors and others, to plan and review projects,
- Make presentation at professional meetings further knowledge in the field.

Job Responsibilities
- Electrical site engineers design the main power systems that feed commercial buildings and offices as well as the distribution circuits to each unit. They also handle design problems when they arise. Electrical plans are never 100 percent correct, and changes will always have to be made. These changes are the responsibility of the electrical site engineer.
