A well capitalized and leading microfinance bank in Edo Central Senatorial Zone desires to recruit a suitably qualified person as subject to Central Bank of Nigeria approval, to fill the vacant position below:

Job Title: Managing Director/CEO

Location: Edo

Summary of Job Description

• Implementing of the banks Mission and Vision
• Ensuring strict adherence to all regulatory guidelines
• Member of the various board committees
• Ensuring board policies and plans are implemented
• Lead the business and product development drive of the bank
• Ensuring the bank’s actual performance meet all set targets
• Implementing the banks corporate strategies & plans
• Providing leadership and direction for the bank
• Overseeing the entire operations of the bank
• Advising the board on all issues
• Providing the required leadership to ensure effective management of all resources
• Other duties

Qualifications

• Minimum of HND or BSc.
• MBA or Professional Accounting or Banking qualifications
• Must be a Certified Microfinance Banker

Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

• Minimum of 15 years Banking experience out of which at least 8 years must have Been in Microfinance Banking
• Impeccable integrity and transparency
• Should have initiative, be problem solver and a good team person
• Good Knowledge of the Nigeria Financial Sector
• A thorough knowledge of the environment and its operating conditions is a major criterion to be considered.
• Should be abreast with recent CBN Microfinance policy framework, Code of Corporate Governance and all other laws guiding operations in the sector
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Strong marketing and credit background
• Excellent leadership and people management skills
