B. Adedipe Associates Limited – Our client, a State Licensed, fast-growing Mortgage Bank is looking to recruit suitable candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Enterprise-wide Risk Management (ERM) Officer

Location: Ogun

Job Objective

• The Enterprise-wide Risk Management Officer will create, design, implement and maintain an Enterprise-wide Risk Management framework that supports the strategic goals of the Bank.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or in any social science-related field; an MBA or relevant professional certification is added advantage.
• Not less than 7-10 years’ work experience in financial services, including experience reporting to the board, with demonstrable ability to design and monitor organizational risk.
• Sound knowledge of risk management and governance standards
• Excellent risk-based and forensic audit Skills
• Logical, result-oriented and well organized, with problem solving ability

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop an ERM framework consisting of tools and practices to analyze and report risks for the Bank.
• Establish and identify Bank’s risk appetite subject to approval by the Board.
• Identify emerging risks that present new regulatory, fraud or money laundry risk.
• Execute operational and compliance risk analysis and assessment across the Bank.
• Monitor the Enterprise-wide Risk Assessment and risk profiling of the Bank and give recommendations when applicable.
• Assess and develop a Business Continuity Plan framework and policy.
• Identify potential Business interruptions and develop safeguards against such interruptions.
• Identify risks to business continuity, mitigation actions and implement follow-ups.
• Implement an assets and liabilities strategy that optimizes the Bank’s returns, in line with the Board Committee’s recommendations.
• Effectively track and measure performance against operational risk metrics.
• Ensure operational risk controls are working in line with the Bank’s internal control requirements.
• Design and communicate standard business operational risk requirements.
