Job Title: Social Media & Content Associate for the ARM Labs Lagos Techstars Accelerator
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Role Summary
- The ARM Labs Lagos Techstars Accelerator is one of the 54 Accelerator programs Techstars operates around the globe, and the inaugural on-ground program for the African Continent.
- We are looking for a Lagos-based associate to manage social media and comms for the Lagos program
- ARM Labs Lagos Techstars Accelerator Program is a partnership between Techstars – a global investment business that provides access to capital, one-on-one mentorship, and customized programming for early-stage entrepreneurs; and ARM Labs – a Lagos-based innovation program.
- This new accelerator program focuses on investing in early-stage fintech and proptech companies based in Africa.
Commitment:
- This is a contract role, requiring you to work for up to 3 days a week, ideally at our office in Victoria Island, Lagos. The contract will start on 5th December 2022, and end March 31st 2023.
Role Responsibilities
- Create a social media calendar for the program
- Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
- Drive high impact conversations about the Lagos program on Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn
- Respond to our audience comments and inquiries in a timely manner across social media channels
- Suggest and implement new ideas to develop brand awareness
- Send out monthly newsletters.
What We’re Looking for
- Experience working in VC or with startups
- 4+ years of experience in fast-paced environments
- Proven work experience as a Social media manager
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills – you love to write and think on your feet
- Excellent copywriting skills
- Can work with minimal supervision
- A demonstrated understanding of social platform tools and best practices across Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn
- A team-first, collaborative mentality and strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
- A high degree of drive, energy, accountability, and initiative
- Understands Techstars’ vision, direction and support of overall organization objectives

Nice to Haves:
- Photo and video editing skills.
