Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Details

• We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to run and maintain IT operations for DRO Health, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring application stability, directly working with the CTO & development teams to rapidly respond & resolve system incidents and user queries, as well as contribute to the development of minor and major features for DRO Health, Inc.

Key responsibilities

• Investigating and diagnosing network problems
• Overseeing the data integrity of the DRO Health applications
• Identifying, reviewing and assessing client feedback
• Managing the DRO Health applications
• Temporarily assisting with the running of social media platforms
• Assisting with user acceptance of applications enhancements
• Planning for business continuity & disaster recovery
• Identifying, designing and implementing proactive patterns that prevent system problems
• Technical support and maintenance of existing applications and surrounding infrastructure
• Providing regular updates to key stakeholders at all levels, establishing strong relationships cross the organization

Personal and professional skills required

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree (min 2.1) in an IT or Engineering related degree
• Ability to manage expectations
• Willing to work extra hours if needed
• Be able to clearly explain issues to others
• Be able to work both independently and within a team
• Excellent time management skills
• Recognizes the power in saying ‘I don’t know’
• Must have finished NYSC within the last 5 years. Candidates currently doing NYSC will be considered
• Excellent communication skills
• Comfortable using project management tools (E.g. Trello)
• Should be energetic, sociable, and vibrant
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Must be able to work remotely

Programming Skills required:

• AWS knowledge and experience (EC2, RDS, SNS, SES, Route 53, S3, Lambda, API Gateway)
• Python (Pyramid framework)
• MySQL
• Ubuntu Linux
• Apache
• Git
• Vanilla and Node JS
• Ability to code in Java (for Android) is a big plus
