We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Package Engineer – Mechanical
Location: Lagos
Job Descriptions
- Review all Project(s) material/fabrication specification, evaluation and documentation
- To recommend alternate specification options for client approval
- Produces detailed design and drafting of RFQ packages for procurement execution
- Meets with PMT to review look ahead requirements and reviews project program to ensure all milestones are achievable.
- Attends to other project deliverables and requirements as required
- Effective communication with project manager(s), client representatives and other team members on all stages of the project to identify and address problems and bottlenecks
- Make regular site visits to facilities and fabrication site(s) as required for client meetings, vendors, subcontractors, site measurements and inspections
- Client communication, scheduling and progressing of strict project timelines
- Lead and participate in the technical evaluation of vendor selection
- Lead kick off meetings and defines the scope splits for other disciples for package execution
- Schedule Kick off meeting as applicable
- Coordinate, review and check all technical specifications and work scopes of Contract documents on the project.
- Identify and process variation orders/deviations relative to the package specification
- Develop method statements, procedures, sequence.as required
- Generation of Project Technical Query Request (TQR) and Work method statements
- Review GA drawings as required
- Monitor work progress of activities
- Manage internal and external interfaces on the project
- Review and update work progress with planning team.
- Liaise with procurement team on material supply, quality and expediting.
- Supervise technical performance of sub-contractors.
- Attend review meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree – Engineering – Mechanical
- 4-5 years or more experience with Oil and Gas EPC projects
- Computer literate: Excel skills, PowerPoint
- AutoCAD, Solid works
