Context

  • Under the overall supervision of the DTM Project Officer in Nigeria and under the direct supervision of the Field Operation Assistants, the successful candidate will be accountable and responsible for collecting data as part of the Displacement Tracking (ETT, MT, BR).
  • S/he will work in close collaboration with the partners on the field in the areas (s) s/he has been assigned to. He/she will perform the underlisted functions;

Core Functions/Responsibilities

  • Collect data and provide support to relevant partners on data collection based on the DTM methodology and tools following a pre-established schedule.
  • Monitor and evaluate the DTM operations, identifying areas of improvement and enhanced efficiency.
  • Be responsible for sending the information collected on the field to the Field Operation Assistant on a timely manner and according to the standards and requirement of the DTM program.
  • Triangulating collected data based on DTM methodology with relevant partners
  • Carrying out rapid registration where needed. 6. Perform such other duties as may be assigned

Required Qualifications and Experience
Education:

  • Certificate / Diploma / Dregree in relevant field;

Experience:

  • Experience in the field of humanitarian assistance is an advantage
  • Experience in data collection and statistic is an advantage
  • Minimum of two years for university diploma or a year for degree
  • Experience in humanitarian field, NGO, INGO is mandatory
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain integrity in performing responsibility assigned

Job Title: Data Collector Team Lead, NAA

Context

  • Under the overall supervision of the DTM Project Officer in Nigeria and under the direct supervision of the Field Operation Assistant, the successful candidate will be accountable and responsible for collecting data as part of the Displacement Tracking [emergency tracking tool (ETT), mobility tracking (MT), biometric tracking (BR), flow monitoring points (FMP)].
  • S/he will work in close collaboration with the teams and partners on the field in the areas (s) s/he has been assigned to. He/she will perform the underlisted functions;

Core Functions/Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and implement strategies to conduct biometric registration in close collaboration the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and other relevant partners on the field.
  • Provide training support to relevant partners on biometric registration, mobility tracking, emergency tracking tool based on the DTM’ methodology and tools.
  • Build the capacity of the IOM staff involved in DTM.
  • Monitor and evaluate the day to day biometric registration, ETT and MT and identify areas of improvement and enhanced efficiency.
  • Support community engagement, mobilization and sensitization lead.
  • Compilation of field location weekly and monthly reports.
  • Sharing of distribution App reports with partners after support.
  • Ensure BR checklist is always updated.
  • Incharge of DTM field inventory and fuel.
  • Support biometrics logistics.
  • Monitor use of vehicle and generator.
  • Coordination with the office on staff deployment to the field and pick up.
  • Coordinate with relevant partners to secure the registration sites and ensure the safety of the staff.
  • Ensure that all biometric equipment and forms are properly stored and arranged.

Required Qualifications and Experience
Education:

  • Diploma / Degree in related field;

Experience:

  • At least one year experience of working in an emergency context in a supervisory capacity with practical knowledge of locations within Borno, Yobe and Adamawa States.
  • Basic Microsoft office skills required (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Experience in the field of humanitarian assistance is an advantage.
  • Experience in data collection is an advantage.
  • Experience in community mobilization is an added advantage

Languages:

  • Support supervisor in effective team management, which includes time sheet supervision, data protection, interaction with beneficiaries, sexual exploitation and abuse reporting, and also support feedbacks to the supervisor regarding team’s general conduct
  • Coordinating with Biometric Team to ensure the newly identified arrivals are properly registered and well documented.
  • Conducting refresher training with the support of the supervisor for the ETT staff.
  • Production of weekly and monthly field reports.
  • Support field staff movement to and from NAAs, ensure timely staff booking and prompt staff return to registration areas

Context

  • Under the overall supervision of the DTM Project Officer in Nigeria and under the direct supervision of the Field Operation Assistant, the successful candidate will be accountable and responsible for managing the implementation and evaluation of the biometric registration activities in accessible areas as well as NAAs and also function as a liaison officer between the organization and partners for purposes of advocacy, data sharing and support within settlements across North-East Nigeria. He/she will perform the underlisted functions;

Core Functions/Responsibilities

  • Coordinate at field level to ensure that the unit’s office and field operations assets are adequately utilized, and assist in management, maintenance and storage of biometrics registration equipment.
  • Providing regular progress reports on field activities, and ensuring effective communication between the office and staff on the field.
  • Coordinate weekly operational meeting with various units towards shared benefits of biometrics data for purposes of aid distribution, document, share minutes with supervisor and assign follow up based on capabilities
  • Support partners and local authorities in the planning and registration of beneficiaries, using the set up SOPs and support feedback.
  • Identify and report issues/challenges faced by both staff on the field and beneficiaries in various registration areas
  • Coordinate with the team leads at the field level to support implementation of the beneficiary work incentive and initiating gender balance during the process.
  • Support field staff movement to and from NAAs, ensure timely staff booking and prompt staff return to registration areas
  • Liaise with the SSU for staff security clearance and briefing to be completed before dispatching staff to NAAs.
  • Support the supervisor to create awareness of beneficiary data collected within assigned area and provide feedback on potential partners available, track partner’s activities and ensure effective follow up.
  • Attend meeting at field level on behalf of DTM
  • Collate and verify staff hourly timesheets, effectively manage teams and support hotline feedbacks during operations.

Required Qualifications and Experience
Education:

  • Diploma / University Degree with minimum of two years of progressively-responsible hands-on experience in the areas of biometrics registration implementation, overall management or similar area;

Experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality is mandatory.
  • At least one year experience of working in an emergency context in a supervisory capacity with practical knowledge of locations within Borno, Yobe and Adamawa States.
  • Experience in managing teams, mentoring and delivering trainings;
