The National Institute of Construction Technology and Management, Uromi, Edo State is a Federal Polytechnic with the functions of providing technology, training and development of techniques in Applied Science, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Business Studies, as well as other spheres of learning.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Bursar
Location: Uromi, Edo
Duties
- The Bursar is the head of the Bursary department in the Institute. He is responsible to the Rector in the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the Institute.
- As a financial controller, the Bursar shall advise on all financial policies including budgetary matters, purchasing and contracts, pensions and gratuity, loans and insurance and any other financial matters as may be- referred to him from time to time by the Rector and the Council.
Qualification and Experience
- The applicant should possess a good honours degree or HND in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or other relevant disciplines.
- In addition, he must have a recognized professional membership qualification such as ACA, ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, etc. with at least 15 years post qualification cognate experience or a Master’s Degree in MBA finance or other related discipline or Fellowship of any professional Accounting Body with at least five (5) years post qualification cognate experience. Work experience in an Institution of higher learning is an added advantage.

- Candidates for the position of Bursar must have exhibited in the past considerable degree of competence in his profession and high integrity.

Job Title: Librarian
Location: Uromi, Edo
Duties
- The Librarian is the head of the Library Department of the Institute. He is responsible to the Rector in the day-to-day administration and control of the Library. He is the custodian of the Institute’s materials (e.g. books) in the Library.
Qualification and Experience
- Candidate for the post of Librarian are required to have Master’s Degree in Library Studies / Science (M.L.S) with 15 years cognate experience or a Bachelor of Library Studies / Science (B.L.S) with 18 years cognate experience or a good honours Degree plus professional Library qualification with 17 years qualification experience.
- Ph.D in Library Science and Information will be an added advantage.
Job Title: Registrar
Location: Uromi, Edo
Duties
- The Registrar is responsible to the Rector for the day-to-day administration of the Institute. He takes charge of the Registry and is the secretary to the Governing Council and Academic Board.
- He is the custodian of all records of the Institute, keeps the Institute’s seal and interprets and applies rules and regulations to the Institute.
Qualification and Experience
- Candidates for the post of Institute Registrar are required to have a good Bachelor’s Degree (a minimum of Second Class Lower Division) preferably in the Arts, Social Sciences or Humanities, plus at least 18 years post qualification cognate experience or a Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline with at least 15 years post qualification cognate experience.
- Membership of a recognized relevant and professional body is mandatory
- The candidate must show evidence of community service.
Terms of Appointment
- The appointment is for a term of five (5) years only.
- The salary attached to the position is consolidated with other benefits as comparable to that in other similar Institutions of higher learning in the country.
