Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Engineering Team Lead
Location: Lagos
Status: Full time
Job Summary
- Overall management, repair and maintenance scheduling for all electro-mechanical equipment.
- Management of electro-mechanical systems will be accomplished through application of technical expertise in conjunction with use of analytical tools, active involvement and development of work teams, appropriate coaching and feedback, effective resource utilization and visible team leadership.
Responsibilities
- Electrical panel design, assembly and troubleshooting.
- Competent in PLC programming, automation and drive configuration.
- Modelling and drawing using 3D CAD tools.
- Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling electrical components; soliciting observations from operators.
- Assure product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities.
- Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Provide engineering information by answering questions and requests.
- Maintain product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
- Keep equipment operational by following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures; requesting repair service.
- Maintain product data base by writing computer programs; entering data.
- Complete projects by training and guiding technicians.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electro-mechanical).
- 3+ years’ electro-mechanical engineering experience in FMCG.
- Capability and tenacity to solve unique engineering challenges, including a knack for asking the right questions.
- Expertise in design and development of mechanical systems, including ability to use 3D modeling, simulation, and testing. Ability to create standards and SOPs (standard operating procedures) with these tools is a plus.
- Expertise in high-speed rotating machinery (generators, motors, pumps, blowers) including rotor dynamics, bearing systems, speed reduction, gearboxes and centrifugal forces is a big plus.
- Strong understanding of electro-magnetics.
- Competent in the use of electro-mechanical engineering software
- Able to problem solve and troubleshoot as the need arises
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Be willing to work long and irregular hours.
