Job Title: General Manager / Operations Manager
Location: Lagos
Education
- A University degree in Hotel Management or a related field with Experience in opening, managing or re-positioning a hotel/lounge with clear track record. Excellent computer system skills.
- MBA will be an advantage.
Requirements:
- Nigerian or Foreigner who must have worked in a 5 Star Hotel as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager or Operations Manager.
- Must have at least 7 Years Experience in the hospitality industry and has a good rapport with hotel booking departments of various local and international companies who do long stay hotel bookings.
- Proven experience as a General Manager or relevant role.
- Fluency in English. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
- Top level managerial experience with an eye for details.
- Candidate must have Executive Presence.
- Able to put a system in place to ensure quality control.
- A good knowledge of the local market.
Job Responsibilities
- The General Manager / Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of the hotel and provide the direction for the hotel; He will also guide the employees to work as a well-functioning team.
- He must be a team player and a result oriented leader.
- Closely monitor the hotels business reports on a daily basis and take decisions accordingly.
- Responsible for Occupational Health & Safety Act, fire regulations and other legal requirements.
- Ensure full compliance to Hotel operating controls, SOPТs, policies, procedures and service standards.
- Hold regular briefings and meetings with all head of departments.
- Ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of the hotels and management
- Handling complaints, and oversee the service recovery procedures
- Maximizing room yield and hotel / lounges/ bar revenue through innovative sales practices and yield management programs.
- Be accountable for responsibilities of department heads and take ownership of all guest complaints.
- Provide effective leadership to hotel team members.
- Lead in all aspects of business planning.
