The African Leadership Institute is currently on a mission to raise successful business leaders in Africa who can solve complex problems, create jobs, and establish value for their stakeholders. As such, we are giving scholarship to Africans through the ALI Online Business Development Scholarship program which is aimed at educating business enthusiasts of all levels.

We invite learners, 18 years of age or older who are interested in expanding their business skills and knowledge of building a successful business to apply for the ALI Business Development Scholarship program. This program has been divided into two phases;

PHASE 1: Learning Phase
PHASE 2: Mentorship Phase

Scholarship recipients will spend three (3 )weeks in the ALI Business Development Course, studying vision and opportunities, people and network, customers and competitors, business processes, managing finances, and business funding.

At the end of the ALI Business Learning Course, learners will take an assessment from which the top 30 learners will be selected for a month follow-up mentorship program.

THE PROGRAMS JOURNEY

1. Apply for the ALI Scholarship
2. Scrutiny and selection
3. Spend 3 weeks in the ALI  Online Business Development Course
4. Participate in discussions and assessment
5. Get certified —> Proceed to the next phase of the program if you are among the top 30 learners.

ELIGIBILITY

1.  Anyone 18 years of age and older are encouraged to apply
2. You must be an undergraduate or a graduate of a tertiary institution
3. Prior work experience is not relevant
4. Application is free

IS THERE ANY SPECIFIC HOUR THAT LEARNERS SHOULD BE ONLINE DURING THE LEARNING PHASE?

Successful applicant can study at their own schedule so long they finish the first phase (Learning phase) within 3 weeks. That is to say, they have complete access to the learning platform 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We understand that learners have different schedules and will work on their course at different times and on different days. What’s important is that learners make consistent progress each and every week and get through all the content before the end of the course.

ARE THERE ANY NON- TECHNICAL PREREQUISITES OR COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS PROGRAM?

The program will require learners to study and perform tasks on the ALI learning platform. The program is worth $40 however, successful applicants will NOT be required to pay or submit a credit card detail to have access to the program.
