Job Summary
- This position is based in Bade, Yobe State and directly supervised by the WASH Officer.
- The WASH Assistant will support the WASH Officer in training and building the capacity of stakeholders and coordinate with internal staff and local stakeholders to ensure smooth project implementation.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Participate in the supervision of water, electrification and sanitation construction activities.
- Assist in preparing training tools on relevant technical topics and conduct trainings for stakeholders.
- Assist the WASH technical officer in the development of technical guidelines and tools.
- Liaise closely with the WASH PHP team throughout the planning, design and implementation stages of the WASH technical activities.
- Liaise with local government to exchange information on WASH technical implementation status.
- Communicate & report WASH field activities accordingly to all relevant parties.
- Conduct field visit and ensure quality assurance of construction and electrification of facilities being delivered and adherence to design specifications.
- Maintain regular contact with local stakeholders.
- Work closely with the team members and relevant stakeholders throughout the planning, design and implementation stages of the WASH project.
Position Requirements
- Minimum of National Diploma in water engineering, hydrology, civil engineering, electrical engineering, building and other related fields with minimum of 1 year field experience.
- Previous experience in supervising drilling, electrical and construction activities.
- Professional, good organizational capacity and motivated.
- Capacity to be adaptable and flexible.

Job Title: Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant

Job Summary
- The position is based in Monguno, Borno State and reports to the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant primarily responsible for the collection of qualitative and quantitative information and program data at LGA level through surveys, assessments, post distribution monitoring and regular market monitoring.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Collect qualitative and quantitative information and program data at LGA level through surveys, assessments, post distribution monitoring, and regular market monitoring.
- Support in collating and analyzing monitoring data, as well as report on findings from monitoring activities
- Work with program teams to ensure that information relating to ACF and program activities is shared widely within LGAs and provide for beneficiary feedback in line with relevant guidelines and frameworks
- Provide support to the programs at LGA level and within the communities specific to the M&E responsibilities.
Position Requirements
- Diploma in Economics, Statistics, Demography or related subject with previous experience working in humanitarian projects.
- Have a minimum 1 year of proven experience in monitoring, evaluation and accountability of humanitarian or development programs.
- Have experience in data collection, collation, analysis, and report writing.
- Have strong experience in community development programming, preferably in nutrition, food security, livelihoods or WASH.

Job Title: WASH Officer – PHP & NFI

- The position is based in Yobe state and supervised by the WASH Sector Manager.
- The WASH PHP and NFI Officer is responsible for direct implementation of the public health promotion and non-food items distribution of the WASH project.
Task and Responsibilities
- Revise and adapt hygiene promotion training material to local context and in line with target groups to be trained.
- In coordination with the Sector Manager, revise and adapt all IEC materials in line with the local context. This should be drawn up as a communication plan.
- Ensure that the hygiene promotion team members are fully aware of the hygiene promotion Strategy and all activities are in line with strategy activities.
- Prepare training tools on relevant technical topics and conduct trainings for both internal staff and external stakeholders.
- Liaise with the WASH sector technical team throughout the planning, design and implementation stages of WASH technical activities.
- Continually assess emergency needs, as requested, especially taking in the broader perspective of public health.
- Plan beneficiary selection and registration, and led the distribution of NFI kits with the Field Assistant team.
- Ensure that a KAP baseline survey is carried out, analysis done and hygiene promotion strategy is designed on the basis of the findings.

Job Title: LGA Assistant
Location: Fika, Machina, Yunusari, Yobe

Job Summary
- The position is based in Yobe State and will report to the Sector Manager-Nutrition.
- The LGA Assistant will support the assigned local government area (Machina, Yunusari, Fika) in IYCF program planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
- The LGA Assistants will support and coordinate micro nutrient supplement and maternal, newborn and child health weeks and also strengthen technical and advocacy capacity at LGA level.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Provide support in planning, implementation and monitoring of key IYCF interventions by working closely with the nutrition focal persons (NFP) and MCH expert at LGA level.
- Working with NFP, support operational researches to identify barriers and facilitators of optimal breastfeeding and complimentary feeding practices.
- Working closely and share experience from the Community nutrition officers in another LGAs to ensure community engagement through systematic community mobilization.
- Ensure community CMAM volunteers are working together with IYCF support group.
- Support the development of key messages and behavioural change communication materials to promote optimal infant and young child feeding practices.
- To provide training for health workers and volunteers on MNCHWs and micronutrient supplementation.
- Coordinate with the NFP to ensure that the logistics request is made on time and are available.
- Conduct joint supportive supervision and follow up on the implementation of MNCHWs.
- Organising and conduct meetings with NFP, MCH expert, M&E expert and others at LGA on both a regular and ad hoc basis

Job Title: FSL Officer – Agro

Job Summary
- The position is based in Yobe State and supervised by the Sector Manager-FSL.
- The FSL Officer is required to lead field team in the implementation of agriculture activities of the project through livelihood interventions, business management, technical trainings and capacity building to improve skills or production in new/pre-existing livelihood assets.
Task and Responsibilities
- Facilitate community mobilization towards farmers’ field school and small holders gardening.
- Work with traditional committees to ensure the identification and selection of the most vulnerable beneficiaries for cash/asset for work.
- Support in the implementation of capacity building training including field training and workshops for the target beneficiaries on vegetable production, seed conservation, farm management and storage.
- Supervise and compile information to ensure that the surveillance of the farming situation in the area of implementation of the program is achieving the expected result, when required.
- Support the M&E team in analysis of beneficiary data collection through the various tools.
- Contribute to the development of project community mobilisation strategies for targeting and registration of beneficiaries for the agricultural production activities.
- Implement field activities for targeted communities about agricultural activities and strengthening nutrition sensitive agriculture with support from relevant State, LGA and community stakeholders at LGA level.
- Collate information and data on agricultural activities through surveys, assessments, regular post distribution monitoring and field supervision visits of beneficiary households.

Position Requirements

Task and responsibilities
- Facilitate community mobilization, meetings and trainings during community led agriculture activities;
- Work with traditional committees to ensure the identification and selection of the most vulnerable IDPs and host communities and provide information to ensure accountability, fairness and transparency during implementation of activities.
- Work closely with community structures to follow up on implementation of agriculture planned activities with the support from the agriculture officer.
- Support in the implementation of agricultural capacity building training for the target beneficiaries at the LGA level.
- Directly implement in the field the activities defined in the program in close collaboration with the agriculture officer.
- Collect information to ensure that the surveillance of the agriculture situation in the area of implementation of the program is achieving the expected result, when required.
- Collect the required information in the field to facilitate the capacity building and training program, with the support of the agriculture Officer.
- Implement sensitisation activities for targeted communities about agricultural activities and strengthening livelihood restoration activities with support from SEMA, Extension workers, Community Volunteers, traditional leaders and other key stakeholders in feasible livelihood restoration activities at LGA level.
- Support in the verification of the beneficiaries to ensure the identification and selection of the most vulnerable population is verified before agricultural assistance is made.
