Job Title: On-Trade Sales Executive
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
- Working with premium brands, this role requires regular visits to outlets, clubs, bars, lounge, hotels, restaurants, etc with the aim to influence stakeholders and increase sales whilst also raising the profile of brands in the fast-paced on-trade sector
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for recruiting on-trade clients and selling alcoholic beverages and other Ekulo products to a variety of establishments – club, bars, lounges, hotels, restaurants etc
- Identify new clients, the client's needs, offer product recommendations and target businesses that serve or sell alcohol
- Run taste testing sessions for key account holders
- Run promotion event, increase account sales and profit while managing costs
- Create sales strategies that improve the company’s position in the market
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly sales activity reports
- Create an annual sales plan
- Conduct staff training programs for wine and liquor merchandizers
- Help to develop and implement marketing and sales strategies – organizing a promotional calendar, advertising campaign, and special events throughout the year
- Agree outlet bespoke business development plans to ensure any opportunities to promote the brands are optimized to achieve maximum impact and sales
- Review achievements against targets and focus on any under-performing outlets
- Develop strong customer relationships across the account base, help drive brand advocacy and provide customer support for company products
- Manage customer accounts and ensure all timely payments
- Coordinate with the logistic team to ensure an adequate supply of company products, to ensure there is enough stock available to meet sales forecasts and special events
- Visit a portfolio of accounts to secure additional outlets to stock the full range of products or increase the brand products they have in stock
- Train clients staff and monitor to ensure the quality and serving standard of the brand product is perfect
- Build incredible relationships and change people’s perceptions, so they become advocates of our products
Qualification and Experience
- B.Sc. or HND degree
- Minimum of 3 years cognate experience
- Experience working in bars, clubs or pubs, or sales experience combined with a
- passion for the on-trade industry
- Experience in building great business relationships, combined with the emotional intelligence to know how to adapt in order to get the best out of every interaction
Functional Skills Requirement:
- Passionate and knowledgeable about wine and liquor
- Very strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good computer skills
- Analytical skills and ability to translate complex sales reports into meaningful business knowledge
- Ability to drive well and possession of driver’s license
- Commercial acumen and previous experience of being able to identify opportunities by reviewing sales data
- Experience in providing training and giving presentations
- Experience in a marketing role
- Experience in a leadership role
- Outgoing person who can work late into the night if need be
