Job Title: Head of Agric & Field Technology

Details
Responsible for administering field programs and implementing policy and procedures through supervision of staff. Will develop institute-wide program control and policy by:
- Formulating and implementing policies through the analysis and application of data
- Leading and implementing the design and formulation of research and training programs
- Develop and manage the annual budget, work programs and ensuring adherence to control mechanisms
Requirements
- First degree / MSc in Agricultural Science, Agric Extension or related degree
- Fellow/member of relevant professional bodies
- Thorough knowledge of Agricultural technologies
- Knowledge of agronomic techniques and skills to improve productivity, food security and livelihoods desirable
- Minimum of 20 years practical field/industrial practical experience in Sugarcane Agriculture
- PhD in any Field of Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy or related field.
- PhD in Agricultural Biotechnology, genetic engineering/molecular biology, a good understanding of sugarcane genetics
