Project Overview
Nigeria Agribusiness Investment activity is an anticipated five-year project funded by the U.S. Agency for international Development (USAID). Its objective will he to strengthen the business enabling environment to promote private sector investment in agriculture in four broad but interrelated areas.
The project is expected to have four objectives:
- Promote smart and efficient regulation iii agriculture.
- Expand access to finance by mitigating credit risks of agribusinesses and supporting the growth of innovative financing schemes,
- Provide firm level assistance to agribusinesses to strengthen their readiness to expand and scale.
- Integrate various cross-cutting themes into all Agribusiness activities.
Chemonics is presently accepting expressions of interest for this anticipated project. Experience working with private sector market driven, and results oriented activities in and around either Abuja, Kano, or Lagos is preferred.

Qualifications for Technical and Operational Expert
- Technical specialists: minimum 5 years professional experience in a relevant field
- Technical team leaders: minimum 10 years professional experience in a relevant field
- Experience working in entrepreneurship, agribusiness, agriculture, finance, or policy reform preferred.
- Experience and ability to work in a complex environment
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and develop partnerships with private and public sector –
- Experience working with USAID or other donor funded projects preferred for some positions
- Operational specialists: minimum 5 years professional experience in a relevant field
- Bachelors Degree required; advanced education degree preferred for technical experts
