The President Mohammadu Buhari led administration said it is set to commence payment of the second tranche of stipends of N20,000 to each of the 774,000 participants in the Special Public Works (SPW) programme.
Recall that the government started a partial payment of the N20,000 stipends to the 774,000 Participants in April, three months after the Programme was officially kicked off.
The Minister of State, Labour and Employment, Mr Festus Kayemo speaking to our correspondent, Sunday, admitted that some workers under the programme were having issues about their payments from two banks.
The Payment commenced with Access Bank followed by Fidelity Bank and others, however, Zenith Bank and Heritage it was gathered have not met the requirement set by NDE to formalize some Bank Accounts of beneficiaries linked to them.
