Job Title: Shipping manager/Logistics coordinator
Job Description
- Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency as prescribed by Nigeria’s Shippers Council.
- Establish or monitor specific supply chain-based performance measurement systems with other partners in Lagos, Calabar and Port Harcourt ports
- Create policies or procedures for logistics activities.
- Plan or implement material flow management systems to meet production requirements.
- Train shipping department personnel in roles or responsibilities regarding global logistics strategies as streamlined by NIMASA.
- Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, or training or safety records.
- Implement specific customer requirements, such as internal reporting or customized transportation metrics.
- Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues in compliance with Nigerian Custom Service(NCS).
- Participate in carrier management processes, such as selection, qualification, or performance evaluation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A : Applications are invited from interested graduates with a B.Sc. / H.N.D. / O.N.D. in ANY of the followings :
i.Logistics
ii.Marine Engineering
iii.Information System/Technology
iv.Freight monitoring
v.Maritime Transport and Meterology
vi. Nautical Science
vii. Boat/Ship Building technology
B: In addition to above educational qualifications, you MUST have a discharged certificate from National Youth Service Corps(N.Y.S.C.)
C: Experience in clearing & forwarding, procurement and IT in the industry is an added advantage and based in Lagos.
