Job Description
- The Solutions Architect is a technical leader, leading the design and architecture for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation at Interswitch.
- Lead the solution design for the Dynamics 365 programme, creating and maintaining all aspects of solution architecture with a focus on business engagement and documentation – essentially defining the Dynamics 365 architecture and technology frameworks.
- Ensure sound design and architecture processes are followed. Advising the business when required and utilising third parties to create capacity.
Responsibilities
- Solutions Architecture
- The Solution Architect reviews requirements by working with programme team, translating requirements into fit-for-purpose Dynamics 365 solutions and designs
- Challenges and then documents the solution details including risks, constraints, alternatives, and reason for proposed solution
- Understands the business background, issues and implications of the specific solution being addressed
- Ensures compliance between the system architecture and solution architecture
- Following high level Dynamics 365 solution design, leads and contributes the detailed solution, integration, and infrastructure design
- Identify and manage all commercial implications of Dynamics 365 architectural changes and implementations – including infrastructure, licencing, integrations etc
- Specifies user/system interfaces and translates logical designs into physical designs taking account of target environment, performance requirements and existing systems
- Lead technical and functional team members through the design and build process
- Acquisition, Development & Deployment
- Develop and implement pragmatic application of ‘Devops’ processes including; Solution architecture & design, Application lifecycle management, Software application integration & testing
- Work with the Technology Operations Team to establish Change control & release management and Software application maintenance
- Ensure compliance to standards, processes and policies set
- Ensure documentation is current and relevant to ensure stakeholders remain informed
- Provide input to business and planning forums aligning the application portfolio to meet business needs
- Operational Management
- Work with the Technology Operations Teams to establish appropriate timing of maintenance activities and dependencies in Dynamics 365
- Establish appropriate documentation to ensure that post implementation activities are effectively ‘handed over’ to the Technology Operations teams with clear expectations
- Identify operational ‘problems and work with teams to resolve them through planned proactive activities, communicating to senior stakeholders regularly
Requirements
- Collaborative working style to create excellent partner relationships within the business
- Experience in changing culture and behaviours within Technology teams
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in a solution architect or technical consultant role
- Proven design & architecture experience in a large complex organisation, including stakeholder management
- Proven experience in large implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 projects (or Dynamics AX and/or CRM)
- Proven experience successfully managing application procurement, development and implementation using DevOps principles
- Experience in working in an agile project management framework, for example, Scrum or Kanban
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written at a senior IT level
- Expertise and experience in working with 3rd party service providers
- Experience in leading testing procedures & familiarity with test approaches
- Expert knowledge – formal qualification in IT and/or business-related experience combined with senior experience in change and/or release management
- Development experience across the Microsoft stack –
- Net2
- 0+ (C#, ASP, WCF), SQL+
- TOGAF qualification.
