- Reports to Director, Customer Success Manager for Sub Saharan Africa. Position is located in Lagos, Nigeria

- Works as part of the Support organization contracts Renewals team
- Deliver to set renewal booking target and specific KPI’s.
Detailed Description
- As part of Oracle’s employment process candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment screening process, prior to an offer being made.
- This will involve identity and employment verification, salary verification, professional references, education verification and professional qualifications and memberships (if applicable).
- Drive the renewal of Oracle’s contracts to existing customers.
- Responsible for timely renewals for medium-sized customers in assigned territory. Educate customers on business practices and any associated contractual implications. Ensure customer awareness and understanding of applicable elements of Oracle’s portfolio.
- Meet productivity expectations on outbound calls for renewals. Manage exceptions for customers with issues that may delay or inhibit renewals. Identify and transfer leads to sales representatives for top-tier opportunities. Accurately forecast business targets and opportunities in territory.
Responsibilities
- Executing sales activities (e.g. presentations)
- Maintaining Account plans for Top Accounts
- Negotiating and commercial management of designated Accounts
- Managing the bid process through to closure
- Ensuring client issues are escalated to the relevant parties within Oracle
- Positioning the value of Support to customers
- Working with designated Partner organizations on specific opportunities and renewals
- Will be responsible for Renewing Support Contract for both Hardware & Software
- Performing Quality Assurance on regional Support renewals business
- Maintain Good relations between Oracle, its customers and business partners
- Presenting quotations to clients and manage them through the approval process
- Maintaining Support Renewal forecasts and Oracle Service Contracts system (OKS)
- Building and maintaining relationships with decision makers in the designated Accounts
Accountabilities
- Work closely with existing Renewal Reps in Sub-Saharan Africa
- Build and maintain relationships within Support and across Lines of Business.
- Write approval requests, where necessary, in compliance with Oracle standards.
- Obtain appropriate management approvals.
- Ensure the contracts are legally compliant and commercially viable
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and key contacts in the Account
- Produce regular and accurate forecasts as requested by the Service Sales Director. Ensure OKS is updated daily.
- Maintain a breadth of knowledge of Oracle’s products and Services
- Operate in line with Oracle’s business processes and procedures

As one of Oracle’s most widely visible products it is vital to stay on top of the trends.
The international team covers all aspects of product development, from design and implementation to sustaining.
- The Principal Software Developer (m/f) will design, implement, adapt and test various functionality, especially virtualization API code which makes complex operations available to client code using a simple interfaces. This needs understanding the key abstractions used in virtualization, especially device emulation, virtual machine management and product integration, to extend the product towards cloud functionality.

- Very good C/C++ programming skills, in particular in a COM/XPCOM/webservice context which includes other programming languages
- Analytical approach to problem solving, with diligence and precision, creating code with resilient error handling behavior

- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good English skills, both written and verbal.
- BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
The following would be an advantage:
- 7-8 years of working experience with virtualization knowledge
- Cross-platform programming experience, using as many of the following operating systems as possible: Windows, Linux, macOS and Solaris
- Experience with cloud API programming, either client or server side.
- This area of product development is covering a broad area of product functionality, and there will be a large amount of variety in the tasks.
