Job Description
- To manage the data & corporate voice network and perform network Integration and configuration
- Formulate and actively contribute to the data and corporate voice network strategies, in line with the MTNN set standard.
- Review and Provide Input to DCN Integration plans for smooth running of Network Operations.
- Coordinate the Implementation of Voice and Data Network Requirements.
- Monitor and maintain the performance of the department and ensure key deliverables such as, MTTR, Availability of Data and Voice Network, are met.
- Coordinate day –to-day support for MTN Data and Corporate Voice Network and resolve network related faults
- Guarantee accurate and timely delivery of project as well as Network Health and Security.
- Review the performance of individual team members and complete appraisals in accordance with the employee performance appraisal procedures and time schedules.
- Identify training requirements of team members, develop program to address knowledge gaps and to enrich knowledge repository within the department.
- Interface with IP Systems Planning to review new and existing projects.
- Interface with TX Edge in reviewing IP/Cross connect Projects

Job Title: Team Lead, Network IP Security Engineer
Location: Lagos
Job Description
- To manage the Data & IP Security Network and perform network Integration and configuration
- Ensure network availability and maintain security posture of MTN Enterprise Network.
- Integrate complex network communication architectures, topologies, hardware, and protocols into existing network configurations.
- Provide accurate visibility into the MTNN Networks (IP/MPLS, GPRS etc.) at Layer 3.
- Liaise with Network Engineers and ensure timely management/resolution of faults occurring on the network.
- Carry out daily maintenance of the MTNN security and MPLS infrastructure.
- Ensure key deliverables are met, MTTR availability and timely delivery of Datacomms related project.
- Review and provide routine input to DCN Integration Plans and IP Security related issues.
- Perform routine DCN Installation and Support and New Node implementation.
- Drive and implement the Total Security Architecture for MTNN.
- Maintain end to end Internal Data Network Security, monitoring critical Nodes, detect faults and escalate appropriately.
- Ensure network statistic analysis/data trend are reported daily/weekly/monthly to track and improve performance.
- Perform required maintenance upgrades on Routers, Switches, Firewalls, IPS, and Net Forensics (both HW and SW).
- Troubles shoot firewall access problems and routing issues.

- Drive and direct the strategy, design, and optimization of MTNN’s radio (2G, 3G, 4G) coverage, quality and capacity in order to provide adequate radio network capacity, good grade/ level of service and good overall network quality to enable higher revenue generation and excellent customer experience.
- Ensure optimization Vendors carry out the tasks set out in the contracts to consistently achieve Quality of Service KPI’s.
- Support the Shareholder return strategy by developing and implementing the Division’s processes that are aligned to achieving all elements on the business score card. (I.e. Grow Market Share, Grow ICT & Data Revenue, Increase EBITDA margins, Assure Revenue, CAPEX Returns Management and Net Subscriber Additions).
- Participate in the review of Business Processes (headcount, process optimisation etc), to drive efficiency gains to ensure at least 5% reduction in Divisional budget year-on-year.
- Participate in Contract negotiations to reduce cost and drive MTNN Value Creation Philosophy.
