KolaDaisi University, Ibadan, a private University licensed by the Federal Government of Nigeria in November, 2016 is a non-governmental, non-partisan and non-sectarian institution. It is situated at Km 18, along the new Ibadan-Oyo Express Road.

The Vision of the University is “to be a world-class institution for excellence in nurturing graduates to meet the socio-economic needs of a knowledge-driven economy”. Its mission statement is to nurture graduates with the competency to help elevate our. The University is established to be a centre of academic excellence committed to the achievement of accelerated development through research and manpower development. It seeks to relate its activities to the cultural, technological, social and economic needs of the people of Nigeria.

Job Title: Registrar

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

The Registrar

  • The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University and shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the University and by virtue of the position shall be the Secretary to the Governing Council, Senate, Convocation, Congregation and other Statutory bodies as defined by the University Law.
  • The Registrar, given the complexity and scientific nature of the administrative processes of a 21st century University, must not only be a goal-getter but must also be able to show drive, exceptional initiative, great ability for institutional networking with the outside world and must have a suave mien that typifies a 21st Century world class University

In addition, the ideal candidate shall be:

  • Less than 60 years of age at the time of appointment
  • A person of impeccable integrity and strong moral character with ability to relate excellently with staff students and the general public
  • A person with an articulate vision for the development of the University in general and the Registry in particular, combined with a strong passion to implement the vision
  • Highly conversant with the intricacies and peculiarities of a Federal University system
  • Of good physical and mental health, pleasant disposition
  • Up-to-date in information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills
  • A person of strong character, sound leadership skills and ability to instill confidence and engender trust in his/her members of staff
  • Devoid of any criminal record and
  • Able to demonstrate sagacity and wisdom in the face of crisis or undesirable situations.

Tenure

  • The Registrar shall be appointed by Council for a term of four (4) years in the first instance and may be renewed for a final term of four (4) years.

Qualifications and Experience
The applicant should be an excellent manager of human resources and a team player, must be physically and mentally fit, and in addition satisfy the following criteria:

  • Must possess a good honours Degree from a recognized University, possession of higher Degree(s) is an added advantage
  • Must have minimum of fifteen (15) unbroken years cognate experience in University Administration or twenty (20) years of other institutions of higher learning
  • Must have attained the rank of Deputy Registrar and served for not less than six years as Deputy Registrar and have demonstrable competence inability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc OCT for efficient and effective job performance
  • Be a member of relevant professional bodiese g NIM, IPMN, ANUPA,CIA, AMN
  • Must have a good working knowledge of current administrative principles, practices and processes

Conditions of Service

  • The conditions of service for the position of the Registrar are comparable to those obtainable in Federal Universities in Nigeria and as may be determined from time to time by the University’s Governing Council.

Note
