Assistant Manager, New Media at the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC)

The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) is an independent body, established by the Electric Power Sector Reform Act of 2005 to undertake technical and economic regulation of the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry. The Commission is to, among others license operators, determine operating codes and standards, establish customer rights and obligations and set cost reflective industry tariffs. The Commission has its head quarters in Abuja.

Job Title: Assistant Manager, New Media

Location: Nigeria
Division: Office of the Chairman

Responsibilities

  • Report to PM Communication.
  • Scan the social media platforms for news mention about the Commission and its activities
  • Ensure appropriate and timely response to online enquiries from the Commission
  • Work with the PM New Media and relevant Units/Divisions to ensure positive image of the Commission across social media platforms
  • Execute social media campaigns for the Commission
  • Facilitate a good relationship between the Commission and social media influencers and bloggers
  • Circulate online publications, press releases and other publications of the Commission across New Media platforms
  • Initiate and manage media campaigns on the social media platforms.
  • Work with other relevant Units/Divisions of the Commission for web content management.
  • Perform such other functions as may be assigned by PM, New Media.

Minimum Qualification

  • Minimum of 6 years work experience.
