Kogi State University 2016/2017 Direct Entry Admission Screening Exercise

Kogi State University (KSU), Anyigba – This is to inform all Direct Entry candidates who applied for admission into Kogi State University (KSU), Anyigba, for the 2016/2017 Academic Session, and who made the institution their First Choice (Most Preferred Institution Only) that they would be screened through a Computer Based Test (CBT) between Thursday 6th and Friday 7th October, 2016.

Eligibility

  • Candidates who made the University their Second Choice Need Not Registerfor the screening exercise.
  • Candidates, parents, guardians and the general public are to note that ability to read and click or move the mouse on the computer are the only requirements for the screening exercise.

Qualification for the Screening
Only Candidates who completed the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Direct Entry Form and have the following qualifications are eligible to participate in the Screening Exercise:

  • Candidates with requisite minimum of (5) O’ Level Credit Passes including English Language (and Mathematics for program in the Faculties of Natural Sciences, Agriculture, and some programme in the Faculties of Social Sciences and Education) at not more than two sittings;
  • Candidates with ‘A’ Level General Certificate in Education (GCE) with not less than “C” grade in at least two (2) subjects relevant to the candidate’s course of study;
  • Candidates with National Certificate in Education (NCE) with NOT LESS THAN 10 POINTS in subject areas relevant to the Candidate’s Course of Study;
  • Candidates with Diploma OR Ordinary National Diploma (OND) Certificate with a minimum of Upper Credit in subject areas relevant to the Candidate’s course of study;
  • Candidates with Higher National Diploma (HND) Certificate with a minimum of Lower Credit in subject areas relevant to the Candidate’s course of study;
  • Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) of Abmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria (‘A’ Level), with not less than ‘C’ Grade in at least two(2) subject areas relevant to the Candidate’s course of study.
  • Any other Advanced Level qualification recognized for Admission into Nigerian Universities.

Registration for Screening

Please adhere strictly to the understated Registration Procedures:

  • Registration commences from Monday, 29th August, 2016 to Wednesday, 14th September, 2016 at midnight.
  • Candidates are to logon to:http://www.portal.ksu.edu.ng and follow the registration instruction accordingly.
  • Click on the “2016/2017 Direct Entry Admission Screening” Link at the left side.
  • Candidates must have valid Phone Number and E-mail address before starting the application procedure.

Details of the registration procedure are as follows:

  • Candidates will be expected to pay into Kogi State University Screening Account. Amount: N2,500.00 (Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira Only). All payments will strictly be done using our online CollegePay platform by using any bank ATM card on the portal.
  • Candidates will be required to upload a scanned copy of their passport photographs (file size: not more than 20KB with RED background.
  • Candidates are to upload their O’ Level results accordingly with minimum of Two (2) sittings. Any forgery of results renders your admission void.
  • Candidates are to print out their registration slips after completion. All Print Outs Must Be In Colour.
  • Please note that registration after the closing date will not be allowed.
  • Candidates are prohibited from coming into the Screening Flail with Phone (Handsets), Flash Drive, Modem, Biro, Pencil, and/or any electronic gadgets.
  • Candidates are expected to adhere strictly to the screening process and in case of any assistance where necessary, kindly send an email to:2016admissions@ksu.edu.ng or use our Offline support system (Ensure to quote your Jamb Registration Number in all mails).
