A reputable Financial Institution is recruiting qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Internal Control / Compliance Officer

Location: Nigeria

Job Description
The candidate would be responsible for periodic and systematic checks on all daily transactions and activities conducted by the Operations Department of the bank including but not limited to inspecting and instituting the procedures, systems, limits and other controls to ensure that they are complied with and the level of compliance monitored. Other functions would include:

• Call-over of current and savings accounts
• Checking of the receiving and paying cashiers for current account and savings account.
• Daily observation of dual control measures.
• Observation of the Security of the Bank assets and premises.
• Banking operations system of activities.
• Staff performance measurement
• Computer system audit & reporting.
• Checking of All expense vouchers
• Checking of receiving cashier in respect of cash withdrawal from correspondents Banks.
• Checking of paying teller in respect of receiving from vault and compare with the Vault cash book.
• Budget performance measurement
• Bank reconciliation statements call over
• Staff salary vouchers and pay slips call over
• Ensure that monthly profit and loss account is prepared on time.
• Checking of customer’s loans.
• Credit & liquidity risk management
• Checking of overdraft repayment procedure.
• Market risk management
• Compliance with system back-up procedures.
• Report to the board on the performance and observations for the month.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Must have working knowledge of Bank one computer software
• Must have at least two (2) years microfinance audit/compliance work experience within a Microfinance bank
• Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication & organizational skills.
• Detail oriented, high degree of accuracy.

Expected Salary
N130,000PCM -Gross.
