WOCHAD works directly with rural poor marginalized and disadvantaged Orphans, Disabled, The aged, Women especially young-mothers, widows, displaced person, the illiterate and young children in communities aimed at improving rural community livelihoods through implementing development oriented programs including water, sanitation & Hygiene, improving sustainable agriculture, family economic employment, maternal health, child/orphan supports/education & scholarship, primary health care, sexuality and reproductive health, HIV/AIDS &TB, income generating activities, youth skilling programs, vocational training to enable employment creation, sustainable energy, human rights advocacy, food security, gender equality advocacy, young teen mother supports and institutional strengthening and development.

Job Title: Monitoring & Evaluation Officer

Location: Abakaliki, Ebonyi
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Duties
Data Collection, Data Analysis, and Monitoring:

  • Collect standard data for all activities and maintain updated database
  • Clean and compile all GBV facility and community level data and ensure quality of the data by random verifications and validations.
  • Ensure all relevant data is captured on GBV-IMS (Gender-Based Violence- Information Management System).
  • Calculate basic statistics and indicators’ data on a regular basis. Provide additional analysis of data and information on different variables when needed.
  • Assist in the development of & GBV M&E standard operating procedures
  • Conduct routine data quality audits and review the quality of collected data and the methods for data collection
  • Set monthly targets to be met by the field staff and monitor the results at the end of the month.
  • Liaise with relevant WOCHAD staff to ensure regular and timely information flow
  • Share and discuss M&E findings and compiled data with relevant program staff to inform program activities.
  • Develop project monitoring plan of all the projects.
  • Monitor all project activities, progress towards achieving the project output.

Reporting:

  • Assist in collation, drafting monthly, quarterly, annual and/or semi-annual reports, in conjunction with program team, according to donor requirements.
  • Prepare monthly and/or bimonthly reports for WOCHAD headquarters, together with program departments, as required.
  • Provide full and detailed feedback to the field on reporting problems and solutions
  • Assist in the design of a comprehensive reporting system across the program while working with staff to ensure consistency and compatibility of information formats.

Assessments, Evaluation, And Learning:

  • In coordination with program staff and/or external consultants, participate in the implementation of surveys or studies and analyses results to inform project design and program implementation.
  • Assist in the design and development of monitoring and evaluation guidelines and tools in a participatory manner.
  • Document program progress including lessons learned and success stories.
  • Share learning from M&E process with the wider team
  • Support in the development of proposals (particularly objectives, outputs, and indicators) and project targets as needed.
  • Assist in training field staff on M&E tools and techniques, as needed.
  • Conduct regular (bi-weekly or monthly) visits to WOCHAD field sites.
  • Any other duties requested by line managers.
  • Adhere to all of WOCHAD’s policies and procedures, including the Code of Conduct and SOPs.

Minimum Requirements

  • Prospective candidate must possess at least a relevant Degree from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of two years post NYSC relevant working experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience on GBV.
  • Must have sound knowledge of Microsoft Officer suite including Word and Excel.
  • You are required to be knowledgeable in managing databases, producing reports and good with figures
  • You must be committed to the ethics and code of conduct and familiar with the Core Humanitarian Standards.
  • You must understand data protection and the need for confidentiality. You must have strong written and oral communication skills; the ability to explain and visualize complex issues to expert and non-expert audiences; and excellent presentation skills.

Job Title: GBV Project Officer

Location: Abakaliki, Ebonyi
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Purpose

  • The project officer will provide technical support and leadership required for the successful implementation of GBV project and will support in awareness raising activities, including the provision of information on available GBV and SRH services and facilitating referrals.
  • The officer will be responsible for providing training and mentoring to community & facility volunteers in referring cases of GBV.

Key Areas of Accountability

  • Technical planning, supervision and monitoring of the field activities
  • Oversee case management including follow-up on referrals and action plans, and support services provided to GBV survivors, ensuring that the survivors receive the minimum package
  • Work closely with the team to Initiate planning for longer-term GBV prevention and response activities, including referral pathways and standard operating procedures
  • Maintain, monitor and measure GBV project implementation and contribute to effective information management on GBV survivors, adhering to the national guidance on case management of survivors and the SOPs
  • Closely work with case workers, outreach workers etc to ensure that best practices are respected and international standards are met in responding and preventing GBV
  • Provide technical oversight and capacity-building through training, mentorship and on-the-job support for case workers, community volunteers, and adolescent peer groups on GBV and SRH awareness raising and referrals.
  • Strengthen and maintain networks with community leaders and groups and service providers to ensure that survivors receive compassionate support from the community and to encourage greater communication, collaboration and coordination among partners.
  • Input into referral pathways to ensure a community perspective is included. Ensure referral pathways are shared and understood within the community.
  • Supervise and lead the implementation of activities at the community psychosocial centers including the setting up of information and help desk
  • Participate in the development of monthly outreach plans with case workers and community volunteers, based on case trends and ongoing needs of women and girls, including strategies to reach women and girls who are more isolated/have special needs.
  • Provide leadership and guidance regarding GBV and SRH activities to all Case Workers to ensure all program activities meet best practice standards as well as taking lead in male discussion sessions in Engaging Men through Accountable Practice.
  • Assist with developing adequate project monitoring systems and help to ensure that Case Workers utilize these systems correctly and consistently and provide support where needed
  • Ensure the implementation of an effective referral system at the interagency and community level to ensure survivors can access quality case management services in a timely manner.
  • Lead case management of Gender Based Violence Cases and ensure proper documentation, assessment, case plan implementation, follow-up and information management of all GBV cases.
  • Submit monthly report
  • And perform any other task as assigned.

Job Title: GBV Project Manager

Location: Abakaliki, Ebonyi

Job Summary

  • The GBV Project Manager will participate in the design, planning of project and oversee all approved project by ensuring quality implementations of projects.
  • He/she will lead in developing work plans, including supervising staff, budget management and managing the component Women protection initiatives.
  • The Project Manager will also be responsible for engaging with relevant stakeholders and local authorities, and in providing capacity-building trainings tostaff and volunteers to build their capacity in program related areas to increase quality in service delivery.
  • The Project Manager will represent WOCHAD in coordination meeting, advocacy, networking and representation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Planning and Implementation of GBV Activities in all project locations
  • Coordinate project team, plan activities, including the development of annual, semi-annual and quarterly work plans and GBV reports.
  • Oversee implementation of assigned GBV project guided by the approved project documents. This will entail developing and updating detailed implementation plans, work plans and procurement plans and ensuring strict adherence to such plans.
  • Provide leadership and direct oversight of all field level project interventions, ensuring quality and adherence to national and international protection standards, guidelines and policies
  • Ensure that the design and implementation of all GBV/protection activities in assigned project locations address the priority protection needs of the internally displaced persons, host communities and other affected person.
  • Provide technical input in developing project proposals, concept notes & sector publications at the sector level
  • Participate in the development of LGA level referral pathways
  • Ensure quality case management and support is provided to survivors of Gender based violence
  • Work closely with the Program Manager to inform program design and strategic direction
  • Participate actively in coordination and ensure multisector implementation with GBV.

Staff Management & Capacity Development:

  • Develop and facilitate trainings and workshops for the project staff and other stakeholders that promote improved understandings of GBV and ensure the observance of international protection and humanitarian law standards.
  • Directly supervise and manage staff including GBV Officer, Assistants, and immediate replacement in case of transitions
  • Support capacity building for all project staff on technical areas including GBV, Psychosocial support and relevant principles and standards in GBV implementation.
  • Lead performance management for all project staff by jointly setting performance objectives, reviewing performance progress and providing regular objective feedback to staff on their development.
  • Represent FRAD in all GBV coordination forums by working closely with partners and State Ministry of Women Affairs and other response sectors in designing responsive actions on GBV
  • Attend coordination and networking meetings with relevant partners, community leaders, support groups and other stakeholders on GBV activities.

Experience and Technical Competencies

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience on GBV.
  • Must have sound knowledge of Microsoft Officer suite including Word and Excel.
  • You are required to be knowledgeable in managing databases, producing reports and good with figures
  • You must be committed to the ethics and code of conduct and familiar with the Core Humanitarian Standards.

Job Title: Finance / Account Officer

Location: Abakaliki, Ebonyi
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that timely and accurate information is generated and disseminated accordingly to the project team, to inform activity planning and forecasts;
  • Prepare, maintain, organize and file the necessary financial reports and documents for the project
  • Ensure all balance sheet items are reconciled and harmonized on monthly basis.
  • Ensure daily, weekly and monthly cash counts are done and properly documented by non-finance staff
  • Process all payments (cheque and/or cash) to vendors, service providers, and partners in line with WOCHAD policies & donor requirements. Ensure all financial transactions in the state office are appropriately approved, authorized, and administered, in line with WOCHAD & donor policies.
  • Support payment of expenses, including per diem and transport to participants during activities in the field
  • In collaboration with the line manager support the training in Budget/financial management in accordance with WOCHAD financial management policies;
  • Coordinate with the team to ensure timely financial and progress reporting is completed and submitted by sub-grantees, reviewed and approved on timely manner and file the reports in sub-grant management file preparation of PV and electronic timesheets
  • Ensure proper documentation and settlement of all advances and retirements
  • Maintain current standing with all mandated tax and registrations, including submission of payments and required reports
  • process all banking activities and ensure that all bank account record is properly maintained
  • ensure timely and appropriate cash flow which matches with operational needs
  • Preparation of budget forecast in line with donor requirement.
  • Reconciliation of bank statement with cash book.
  • Ensure that all costs have adequate prior authorization and approval.
  • Perform any other assign task.

Requirements

  • B.Sc / HND in Accounting or any related field, ICAN, CFA, or ACCA certification is an advantage
  • 2+ years related experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software e.g., SAP.Quick Book.
  • Understanding of accounting and financial processes.
  • Technical know-how on financial report writing
  • Analytical and proven problem-solving skills.
