Job Title: Head of Engineering (Frontend, Backend, Python, Software Development, Typescript, React / Next.js)

Job Brief
What does the job involve:
- Hands on development work. We’d like you to be able to pick up tasks across the board as needed, whether that is frontend updates or backend architecture. Our primary tech stack uses Typescript, React/Next.js, gRPC, all running on GCP with modern CI and deployment pipelines in place.
- Overall ownership of architecture, best practices, platform reliability and ways of working within the engineering team. Close collaboration with the Product and Design function. You’ll work closely with our product managers to help inform roadmaps and prioritization.
- Manage, mentor, and grow the engineering team. You’d initially be the manager for a team of three great engineers, but would be the point person for future hiring
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5+ years of proven experience as an individual software developer using relevant tools and technologies. We do all new development on Typescript, both frontend and backend, and you need to be able to hit the ground running using these tools. Exposure to Python is a bonus as we do use this for parts of our legacy platform and data science projects.
- Experience as a manager including hiring, performance management, streamlining ways of working, and cross functional collaboration is a strong plus, though we will consider candidates with exceptional technical skills that are interested in taking on management responsibilities
- Greenfield/startup experience is a big plus. You’ve likely worked in smaller teams tasked with creating something from nothing, not only in bigger organizations where everything is already defined for you.

Job Title: Project Execution Manager (Engineering)
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Responsibilities
What does the job involve:
- Ensure excellence in health and safety in all of our installation efforts.
- Build and lead a department optimally designed to build efficiently build large projects or large fleets of smaller systems.
- Develop project schedules, set timelines, assign cost and personnel to the schedule and provide budget forecasting
- Manage the financial aspect of projects through budgeting and tracking project expenses.
- Take overall responsibility for our pool of sub-contractor firms to ensure optimal pricing and excellence in delivery
- Collaborate with senior management, Design and Supply Chain teams on project execution.
- Conduct post project reviews to identify areas for future improvement.
- Liaise with the development engineers in the preparation of technical proposals, including assisting in design and writing the scope of work, management plans, work sequence, safety, quality control and commissioning
- Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure that quality standards are met.
Requirements
- Engineering background – Degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years management of large projects with DisCos, TelCo power, generation or C&I NEMSA Installation Category.
- A certification Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) registration Project Management Professional Certified Energy Manager (CEM), added advantage.
- Senior level of expertise in power generati.on, distribution and installation.
- Hybrid Optimization of Multiple Energy Resources (Homer) Expert level PVSyst – Expert
Salary
N15,000,000 – N18,000,000 annually
