About the Job

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior PHP Developer with expertise in both CodeIgniter and Laravel frameworks to join our dynamic and innovative team.
  • As a Senior PHP Developer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining our web applications, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and optimized for performance. Your in-depth knowledge of both CodeIgniter and Laravel frameworks will be crucial in supporting existing projects and driving the development of new ones.

Responsibilities

  • PHP Development: Utilize your strong proficiency in PHP programming to design, develop, and maintain complex web applications and APIs using both CodeIgniter and Laravel frameworks.
  • CodeIgniter Support: Provide expert support and troubleshooting for existing web applications built on the CodeIgniter framework. Identify and resolve technical issues, optimize code, and ensure high-quality performance.
  • Laravel Support: Offer advanced support and maintenance for projects based on the Laravel framework. Collaborate with the team to address issues, improve application functionality, and implement updates as needed.
  • Architecture and Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and efficient solutions. Participate in architectural discussions and offer valuable insights for enhancing the overall system.
  • Code Review and Mentorship: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, security standards, and maintainable code. Mentor and guide junior developers to foster their professional growth.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to enhance response times and overall system efficiency.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure high-quality, bug-free releases. Participate in test planning, execution, and issue resolution.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for projects, APIs, and system processes to facilitate seamless knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Stay Updated: Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to PHP, CodeIgniter, and Laravel to suggest and implement improvements to our development processes.

Requirements

  • Extensive Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a PHP developer, with substantial exposure to both CodeIgniter and Laravel frameworks.
  • Proficiency in PHP: Strong command over PHP programming, including object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
  • CodeIgniter Expertise: Proven track record of successful projects using CodeIgniter, with a deep understanding of its core concepts and features.
  • Laravel Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in Laravel, with experience in building robust web applications using its various components.
  • Database Management: Proficient in working with relational databases like MySQL, including database design, optimization, and complex queries.
  • Web Technologies: Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and other related web technologies.
  • Version Control: Experience with version control systems like Git, including branching and merging strategies.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to debug and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Collaboration: Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Continuous Learning: A passion for staying updated with the latest advancements in web development and a commitment to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  • Leadership (Preferred): Prior experience in leading development teams or projects would be a plus.
