Job Title: Construction Equipment Supervisor – Packages

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Project: Rehabilitation & Revamping of Port Harcourt Refinery
Hours / Rotation: Monday to Saturday; No Rotation

Job Summary / Role Description

  • The Construction Equipment Mechanical & Package Engineer is in charge of preparing the assigned documents and deliverables related to the Proprietary Equipment on the assigned project/s, ensuring compliance with the quality requirements and assigned schedule and budget.

Duties and Responsibilities
His main responsibilities are:

  • Produce the assigned project deliverables ensuring the related quality, in compliance with the contractual requirements, the applicable Document System, respecting also the assigned budget and schedule;
  • Prepare the preliminary mechanical calculations and the mechanical data sheet for static equipment, heat exchangers and pressure vessels;
  • Prepare the project Specifications, the Material Requisitions (M.R.), the Technical Tabulation and the Technical Evaluation for static equipment, heat exchangers and pressure vessels;
  • Participate in the selection of the packages of competence from the point of view of compliance with technological, technical, contractual and economic requirements;
  • Follow the supply development, keeping the necessary technical contacts with the Vendors and accepting the final reports;
  • Give assistance to the other colleagues of the Function, where requested, for those packages that are directly managed by them;
  • Provide discipline support and input to other disciplines for the detail activities;
  • Participate with project team and client as directed to the design of proprietary equipment and the preparation or edit project specifications and reports;
  • Participate in the most important phases of construction, testing, assembly and starting up;
  • Participate to the technical training and exchange experiences and lesson learnt with colleagues of the Group;
  • Keep him/herself up to date with regards to the “State of Art” and advances related to the discipline and share knowledge with the other members of the team and with the other colleagues.

Person Specification
Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • Candidates should possess a University Degree with relevant work experience.

Experience:

  • Management experience for an EPC company in for, at least, two plants as  Utilies Engineer
  • Plants for the gas treatment.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills

  • Team-oriented skills, self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
