Job Title: Electrical Engineer (Refinery)

Location: Owerri, Imo
Job Type: Full time

Job Summary

  • Perform refinery equipment electrical maintenance in line with statutory and OEM guidelines to ensure operational reliability and meet time, HSE, and cost targets.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist the lead Electrical engineer with electrical design and maintenance tasks.
  • Install and perform diagnostic tests on electrical systems.
  • Carry out predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance of electrical systems to ensure operational reliability.
  • Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as perform repairs.
  • Document processes and maintain electrical service and electrical maintenance/repair records.
  • Run diagnostic tests on all electrical systems, and electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Optimize efficiently all electrical systems and equipment.
  • Monitor the availability of spare parts and replenish supplies.
  • Develop and implement electrical maintenance plans.
  • Ensure that each executed activity is supported with the corresponding Work Order.
  • Maintain a tidy work environment and adhere to industry regulations.

Educational Qualifications

  • B.Sc / HND Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a similar degree with good work experience in the electrical field.
  • 3- 5 years of electrical engineering experience in refinery or similar operations, e.g. oil/gas, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering designs, installations, maintenance,  and repairs.
  • Exhibit solid knowledge of electrical performance standards and experience in a refinery, oil/gas, or similar fields.
  • Extensive knowledge in predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance and implementation of electrical systems
  • Relationship and communication skills.
  • Innovative thinking, problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in diverse teams and clarify complex concepts
  • Result-oriented with proven zeal for delivery and execution
  • Proficiency in electrical design and diagnostic testing software
