The Cooperate Affairs Commission CAC has given a new update regarding Fintech companies agents alternative quick business registration.
According to CAC, further to the Commission’s directive to Fintech Companies to register all Sole Agents, Super Agents and Agents on their platforms on or before 7th July 2024, and to ease compliance with this directive, the Commission has deployed alternative platforms for quick registration of the Agents.
The alternatives are as follows:
OPTION 1:
1. Customer may download the Business Name Registration from the link below and complete the form accordingly.
2. Make a statutory payment covering availability and registration through remita and generate the receipt.
3. Scan and upload the completed application form in pdf format, payment receipt, Passport photograph with a scanned copy of a recognized valid photo Identification (as explained on the application form) to quickservice@cac.gov.ng
Please note that by sending an email request, you also consent that CAC may alter your proposed name(s) where necessary to ensure approval, in the case your submitted name is offensive or has a similarity conflict with an already existing registered name.
OPTION 2:
Customers may work with their Fintech institutions who will conduct their name reservation and name reservation and registrations through API integrations to the CAC portal. This method is the fastest and most convenient for end-users.
