We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Protection Officer

Location: Kurfi LGA, Katsina
Employment Type: Contract

Job Summary

  • Danuwa is dedicated to improving access to preventive, risk mitigation, and response services for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in Katsina State.
  • We are seeking a committed Protection Officer to join our team and support the implementation of protection activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement protection strategies based on global standards and UNICEF guidelines.
  • Support to conduct training for community-based child protection committee members and volunteers.
  • Facilitate access to medical care, psychosocial support, legal assistance, and safe spaces for SGBV survivors.
  • Monitor and evaluate protection activities.
  • Coordinate with local NGOs, government agencies, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Law, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in child protection and SGBV programs.
  • Understanding of humanitarian principles and protection standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in diverse environments.
