Job Title: Tax Support Officer

Job Duration: 2 Month Contract
Requirements
- B.Sc/HND graduate
- 0 – 2 years’ experience
- Between 20-25 years
- Excellent computer proficiency especially in MS Office Word and Excel,
- Part/full qualification in ICAN or ACCA is an added advantage
- Any tax experience is an added advantage
- Must be able to pay attention to details and possess excellent interpersonal skills and relationship management
- Candidates should possess minimum of first Class, 2:1 and 2:2 (Including HNDs)
Job Description
- To support the Head of Tax in carrying out various tax responsibilities for the Company
You will be required to:
- Withholding Tax (WHT):
- Liaise with the banks to ensure that monthly payments are processed for all the relevant states.
- Obtain payment receipts and credit notes from the banks/Revenue
- Keep an up to date tracker of receipts and ensure they are scanned into the document drive
- Ensure all receipts and correspondence are well archived
- Manage the distribution of credit notes to vendors
- Value Added Tax (VAT):
- Liaise with the banks to ensure that monthly payments are processed.
- Filing of monthly VAT at the FIRS
- Obtain payment receipts from the Revenue
- Keep an up to date tracker of receipts and ensure they are scanned into the document drive
- Ensure all receipts and correspondence are well archived
- Pay As You Earn (PAYE) Tax:
- Follow up on the status of remittances with the Payroll department
- Keep an up to date tracker of receipts and ensure they are scanned into the document retention drive
- Ensure all receipts and correspondence are well archived
- And to perform other duties as they are assigned.
