The Career Opportunity
Based in Malaysia, the Senior Consultant – Technical Operations will be operating within the Vodafone Global Enterprise’s “Group Enterprise Operations” operate model delivering to the top banking enterprise customers as a resident consultant on premise.
Senior Consultant will also be responsible for supporting the operational teams who manage Enterprise customers & provide technical guidance & support from ground zero.
Senior Consultant- Technical Operations are subject matter experts in implementing, maintaining, supporting and developing network communications.
Key Responsibilities
Providing escalation support for operations engineers through appropriate engagement mechanism for the top customers in the region.
Major incident and problem management – ensuring technical leadership for support teams during major service disruptions affecting customers in the region and provide guidance where appropriate for service restoration.
Front ending a listed few customers and providing focus support on the solution & operate part.
Overseeing the change management process relating to critical network / infrastructure changes and instigating backup plans for customers if required.
The Candidate Profile
As Senior Consultant – Technical Operations, you will be responsible for developing new solutions and services – hosted and supported By Enterprise Operations.
You will be working closely with different teams, both within Clients & Vodafone, in order to provide an outstanding managed service to the client.
Essential:
Expert knowledge on MPLS VPN product knowledge and services supported like Layer 3 and Layer.
Knowledge of Cisco, Alcatel Lucent & Juniper. Carrier Ethernet & Global Transmission product knowledge
Good knowledge on Internet services offered by service providers which includes public & private peering, route policies and transit related knowledge. Strong knowledge on BGP & communities in internet platform.
Good knowledge of WAN accelerator products like Cisco WAAS and other enterprise products like Riverbed / IP Anema.
Working knowledge of IPT voice products as well as Video products is very much required.
Experience in working on complex issues spanning multi-vendor platforms and the experience of troubleshooting and fixing services running on it. Expert in troubleshooting complex Quality of Service issues on more than one platform desirable and at least one platform a must.
Desirable:
Expert Level Qualification in at least one of the following vendors Cisco, Alcatel Lucent, or Juniper. Example qualifications include CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) / JNCIE-SP / ALU – NRS II
Educated to degree level or equivalent ICT, IT Security, Computing, Telecoms experience
Service Management qualification, ITIL Foundation essential, ITIL Intermediate preferred.
Intermediate / Advanced Professional qualification on transmission related products like Ericsson, Nortel, Ciena equipment
