Kaduna State Government Recruitment for 3,059 Health Workers for 255 Primary Health Centres

Kaduna State Government – The Primary Health Care Development Agency has received approval to recruit 3,059 health workers to meet the minimum service delivery gap in the 255 primary health centres in Kaduna State.

The commissioner for health and human services, Dr Paul M. Dogo disclosed this at the Open Kaduna Ministry of Health media interaction organised by the State Maternal Accountability Mechanism (KADMAM).

While he stressed that the major health policy thrust of the present government is the revitalization of primary health care; he disclosed that 23 medical officers have been employed and deployed to work at the LGAs.

Speaking further on the progress made in the implementation of primary healthcare under one roof and the designation of one model PHC per political ward; Dr Dogo said transitioning of the District Health Information Software 2 (DHIS2) platform from national to State Primary Health Care Development Agency was completed in September, 2018; adding that the State Executive Council has approved the Agency’s Corporate Plan aimed at re-structuring for efficiency in service delivery.
