Ad Hoc Staff Recruitment at Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC) July, 2014

The Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC) invites applications from suitably
qualified persons who wish to serve as ad hoc staff during the Local Government General Elections which have been scheduled to take place in Delta State on Saturday, October 25, 2014.

Qualified persons shall be required to serve in any of the following positions: Local Government Returning Officers, Ward Returning Officers, Supervisory Presiding Officers, Presiding Officers, Poll Clerks Or Poll Orderlies.

Eligibility: Candidates for any of the positions must have attained the following levels in their careers:

Job Title: Local Government Returning Officers
Senior staff of institutions not below the rank of senior lecturer and preferably professor or full-time religious leaders not below the position of parish priest or district overseer.

Job Title: Poll Clerks

Serving public servants on GL 08 and above.

Job Title: Poll Orderly

Job Title: Ward Returning Officers

Serving public servants not below Grade Level 12.

Job Title: Supervisory Presiding Officers

Serving public servants not below Grade level 12

Job Title: Residing Officers

Public servants on GL 10 and above.

Serving public servants on GL 06 and above.

Any of the Chief Electoral Officers of the delta State independent Electoral Commission at the nearest local Government Officers of the Commission
or,
The Secretary to the Commission,
Delta State Independent Electoral Commission,
 Km 8, Asaba/Onitsha Expressway Asaba

 An application should include two recent passport photographs (with candidates’ name at the back), letter of recommendation from the applicant, rank and department or ministry. The recommendation must be on the official letter-head, signed stamped and showing the name and rank/position of the Head of Department.
Note:
1. Please note that submission of an application does not automatically qualify an applicant for employment.

2. Public servants in this advertisement means those in the Ministries, Departments and Agencies of the federal and Delta State Governments, excluding political office holders.

3. Successful candidates dates will be given specialized training.
