The company’s core business focuses on integrated offshore services within the oil industry as well as providing ship management services. Being a private company, our client is always exceptionally flexible and fast in appreciating clients’ requirements, challenges and requests and will always go all-out to provide the best solution in a timely and satisfactory manner.
As a part of our client’s expansion in the offshore sector, they have acquired a substantial holding with one of the offshore vessel operator company with more than 20 units fleet, operating in the Caspian sea having offices in Athens, Azerbaijan, Caracas, Cork, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Singapore.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
It is vital that the successful candidate will have the ability to produce professional work to a high standard whilst working under pressure with excellent written and verbal skills.
In order to be shortlisted for this vacancy the candidate will require:-
Master Mariner holding a valid class 1 deck officer Certificate of Competency with sound marine and nautical knowledge
At least 5 year experience managing the operation procedures of Offshore Vessels, preferably with AHTS and Tug Boats
Sailing experience on board a tanker vessel will be an advantage
8 years responsibility in captainship
Proficient in management and leadership skills
Excellent problem solving and negotiating skills
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Commitment to customer service
Highly professional, focused and capable of managing an extremely busy Department that is required to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Marine Manager will report directly to the Fleet Director who is situated at the main office in Athens, Greece. You will be based in the offshore on a FSO in the Nigerian Region which will act as the mothership for the fleet. The Marine Manager will then stand as the floating Boss / Fleet captain of all Vessels. You will be managing the entire operation of the fleet which includes Tanker shuttle logistics, offshore berthing, tug operations and other general matters. You will provide expert advice on the marine operations guideline and defining marine operations methods, standard and procedures and reviewing leadership development for captain and deck officers.
This jjob will require you to interact with other department such as the Technical and QHSE department to ensure that the fleet remains as a top quartile performer and meets the customer requirements. Periodic visits to the Athens office may be required however this is an offshore Nigeria Based position with 2 on 1 off rotation.
REMUNERATION PACKAGE
An International salary corresponding to the candidates’ experience is on offer. The total remuneration package will be deliberated between the consultant and the shortlisted applicant.
