OUTPUTS
Define and manage the business’s overall content portfolio, strategy and roadmap across multi-delivery platforms to drive revenue and margin
Develop content strategy & delivery to include video & music content across linear TV, VOD and streaming (online/mobile) to multiple devices
Communicate market trends and industry shifts, including implications and recommendations, to the Business
Ensure the strategic alignment of group-owned channels to the business’s overall strategy
Input to the company’s long-range business strategy
Support management in preparing defined short and medium term plans and to ensure that all initiatives are aligned and prioritized
Track and assess competitor content strategies and product offerings
Manage specific strategic content projects
Negotiate the most cost effective content deals within budget/LRP parameters
Support the Business in developing in-country content strategies
Build and develop relationships with key stakeholders across the company’s operating footprint in Nigeria
Build external networks across the Africa and International Content and Media Sector
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience
A minimum of a University degree in Marketing or Communications or any relevant bachelor’s degree.
5 years in content/marketing/product management experience in the TV, broadband or communications industries with experience in building consumer propositions and managing rights.
Experience in formulating & implementing new and profitable growth strategies and launching new products
Experience in preparing presentations and briefing documents
Understanding of the key trends and issues in the global media industry
Strong technical understanding of content delivery platforms
Gathering, analyzing and communicating key market and strategic information
Experience in Broadcast Television and Pay TV Sector
Emerging market experience
Knowledge of the dynamics of consumer and business sectors across unique markets in Nigeria
