Job description
Main Job Purpose:
This role is responsible for:
Supply Planning & Execution for the Product Categories
Demand Fulfilment and Order Execution in the above categories
Consolidation of LCL shipments, reworking & Logistics
HAME Portfolio Catalogue maintenance and management.
Regulatory Affiars relations.
Key Accountabilities:
Category Planning (Nigeria) – Annual Business size approx. USD 27MM:
Nigeria interface for all the sourcing needs from the above supply locations
Closely coordinate with suppliers for:
Production Schedules
Order Fulfilment
Forecast Management
Documentation
Certification and Product Compliances
Ensure product compliances are in line with the destination markets through reworking, product label modifications.
Responsible for measuring the performance for the above affiliates by sharing with them their OTIF scores.
Continuously improve upon stock in index of top 80% GSV contributing skus in these categories.
Provide and ensure shipment forecasts to WHQ for the categories are materialized with close coordination with affiliates and related parties
Proactively sensitise the business on key risks on the category and closely coordinate with Demand Planning team to ensure markets with availability of products in the categories and hence no out of stock.
Communicate to senior management on all aspects of stock replenishment and logistics related issues.
Reworking Management:
Responsible for setting up and managing all the reworkers in Europe to enable product compliance for Nigeria (Africa) markets
Monitor the turn-around at reworkers and improve delivery & cost efficiency
Responsible of stocks at re-workers warehouse and timely submission of re-worker stock report
Plan stocks transfer/shipment to reworker to ensure enough capacity with re-workers and make sure timely shipment after reworking.
HUB Management :
Responsible for managing the Nigeria HUB for the categories on need basis
Arrange reworking and shipments as required from hub
Ensure visibility of HUB stock
Trade Compliances and Registration:
Responsible for product registration with authorities like NAFDAC, SON etc
Ensure relevant details, documents and product samples are available in time to register products with authorities in the market.
Liaise with local authorities for imports – renewal of import permit, Product label approval from NAFDAC, getting approval on the issues relating to clearance of products in Nigeria
Logistics and Accruals Management:
Responsible to fix freight rates with shipping lines and Global Sea Freight (GSF) office in UK for shipments from suppliers handled
Coordinate with inspection agents – SGS, Intertek and Cotecna to arrange inspection for the shipments
Ensure timely submission of accruals related to freight, reworking and documentation are reported to the business on time.
Responsible for timely review of accruals and ensure on time payment to shipping lines to avoid credit issues.
Improve supply chain efficiency and help salvage cost out of supply chain
Ensure shipping lines’ confirmations on freight payment are received to facilitate smooth clearance of container.
System and Process:
Ensure process improvement within supply chain for a better way of working to improve efficiency within the team
Ensure timely update of system with regards to orders, shipments and documents status
Actively contribute in the monthly review meeting
Actively contribute on system improvisation for quality reporting of Supply Chain and proper visibility and control on Supply Chain process.
Contribute to the successful implementation of the ERP supply chain modules
Finished goods supply base maintenance:
Stock control, ensure no stock out scenario through out and actioning corrective measures
Progress NPD/EPD activities with relevant source
Responsible for the interface of artworks, forecasts and product specifications with the respective source/Affiliates
Maintain item master database for category
Nigeria Product Portfolio Catalogue:
Custodian of Nigeria Product Portfolio Catalogue
Continuous improvement on Catalogue with latest addition and deletion of skus.
The job may require occasional travel outside of Nigeria as per business requirements.

Professional Skills:
Essential knowledge:
Graduate in Finance or Supply Chain as the medium of University education.
A high degree of familiarity and practice of IT skills related to use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, MS Excel
A strong command over oral and written Business English with an ability to understand and communicate clearly and effectively
Specialist knowledge:
Logistics / Source planning skills – In depth experience in managing planning process across supply chain, including responsibilities for replenishment of stocks on time and logistics management
Business Skills:
Good negotiation skills, Teamwork, communication skills, financial awareness, Planning and organizing
Experience Required:
Work experience of 5-6 plus years Supervisory level.
Prior work experience in an FMCG environment with exposure to customer service, logistics, supply chain or commercial depts is an advantage.
Experience on working for several individuals at the same time is desirable
