At United Biscuits we are recruiting for a Regional Manager. The regional manager’s role is to operate independently within nominated international markets, carrying out both a marketing and sales management role with full profit and loss responsibility.
UB International has a strategic objective to generate sales growth for the UB group. This role involves a mix of strategic and trading initiatives. Africa is an emerging region for UBI and so have an increased level of investment and importance.
The role holder will work closely with retailers, distributors, and internal UB functions such as NPD, technical, marketing, finance and customer service.
The role will involve travel within Ecowas and requires an extensive range of skills including dealing directly with retail buyers and managing demanding and professional third party distributors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To effectively manage and develop both direct retail and third party distributor business partnerships
To achieve annual sales and profit budgets within the nominated region through excellence in distributor and brand management
To develop a joint vision and strategic purpose with UB’s customers and distributors, managing and developing relationships
To understand what delivers UB’s current position in the market and define relevant objectives, strategies and plans
To build and maintain good working relationships with business partners in order to maximise their commitment to UB
To forecast regional sales volume and report performance against plan back to the UBI head office in the UK
To understand, adapt and contribute to the cultural and organisational change (internal and external) demanded by a role in the International department
To take full responsibility of the regional business, driving the sales and marketing agenda but if necessary also coordinating all financial, legal, logistical and supply chain issues
