Job Description
Based in Nigeria, the core function for the Distributor Relationship Manager, is to implement strategies through building sales competencies with the distributor to achieve product freshness, distribution, consumer price, visibility and display objectives in all market segments. The strategies are delivered through direct management of a local distributor and a direct working relationship with the organisations sales and marketing departments in the head office. As the Distributor Relationship Manager, you will be reporting to the Sales Director and be required to grow the business as well as look at new opportunities within the market. Other key responsibilities include:
Monitor trends within the market, key clients activity plans and ensuring that the relevant key stakeholders are kept updated ensuring stock levels
Develop, build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, using the relationships to closely manage sales activity and brand activity
Strong communication with all stakeholders i.e distributors, competitors, retailers, government and the leadership team.

The successful Distributor Relationship manager should have the following key attributes:
NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
MUST SPEAK, READ AND WRITE ENGLISH FLUENTLY
MUST HOLD A COMMERCIAL DEGREE
MUST HAVE A MINIMUM 7 YEARS SENIOR SALES ROLE WITHIN THE FMCG SECTOR
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Business, Commerce or Sales /Marketing
MBA would be advantageous
Extensive experience in African markets
Ability to travel up to 50% of time
Strong focus on high integrity / compliance
Ability to work independently, be self driven and independent thinker
Entrepreneurial, a team player, trustworthy, have an ability to work remotely
