Twitter, Facebook and/or Instagram and you could be one of 3 people who
will win a shared total of N50,000 weekly and a grand prize of N100,000 at the Grand Finale of the #MySummerEssentials Photo Contest!
Whether you are taking a vacation, going to the beach or attending
the biggest concert this summer, there are a few items you wouldn’t
leave home without and we recognize your GTBank card is one of them,
yeah?! Post a photo of a few of these items and you could win yourself
some cool shopping money. Follow the simple guidelines below.
Every Tuesday for 8 weeks, we will provide you a theme-of-the-week here and on all our social media platforms.
1. Make sure you are following us.
2. Share/ReTweet/Repost our theme-of-the-week to your page.
3. Submit your entry on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook by sharing a
photo of your Summer Essentials keeping to the stipulated
theme-of-the-week.
4. Use the hashtag #MySummerEssentials and tag @gtbank in your submission.
We will repost our favourite photos to enter the gallery for voting
weekly. Contestants at this stage qualify to win MarketHub Shopping
Vouchers worth
- N25,000 for 1st place winner
- N15,000 for 2nd place winner
- N10,000 for 3rd place winner
The 1st place winners each week will be shortlisted for the grand
finale at the end of the contest. The winner will walk away with N100,000!
1. Eligibility:
The GTBank Summer for Adventure Contest (the “Contest”) is only open
to participants with valid Instagram, Twitter or Facebook accounts
(“Participants” or “you” or “your”) who, if selected as winners, are
able to receive their prizes within the regions to which the merchants
featured on the SME MarketHub (www.smemarkethub.com) deliver their
services. Employees of Guaranty Trust Bank plc (“GTBank” or “us”) and
the merchants featured on the SME MarketHub as well as immediate family
members of such employees are not eligible to participate in the
Contest.
2. Sponsor:
The Contest is sponsored by GTBank (the “Sponsor”), whose head office
is located at Plot 635 Akin Adesola, Victoria Island, Lagos State,
Nigeria. The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by,
or associated with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and/or any other social
media website or platform on which it may appear. Any questions,
comments, or complaints regarding the Contest should be directed to the
Sponsor.
3. Agreement to Official Rules:
By entering the Contest, you indicate your full and unconditional
agreement to, and acceptance of, (a) these Official Rules (as may be
amended, supplemented or novated) and (b) the Sponsor’s decisions
regarding the Contest, which are final and binding on all Participants.
Winning a prize is contingent upon each participant meeting all the
eligibility criteria, fulfilling all the requirements and complying with
all the conditions set forth herein and as may be determined by the
Sponsor from time to time.
4. How to Enter:
(a) Follow us on Instagram, Twitter,and/or Facebook
(b) Take a picture of your summer essentials in line with our stipulated
theme-of-the-week. Tip: You must also include your GTBank Mastercard in
the picture.
(c) Upload your photo on your Instagram, Facebook or Twitter account using the hashtag #MySummerEssentials and tagging/mentioning @gtbank.
Only nominations received between 12:00 pm GMT+1 on Tuesdays and
4.00pm GMT+1 on Thursdays will be eligible. The Sponsor’s computer is
the official time-keeping device for the Contest.
5. Voting:
Weekly entries which are valid will be uploaded to 635.gtbank.com for
the general public to vote. These votes amount to 50% of contestants’
scores, while in-house judges decide the other 50%. A total of these
decide the final scores weekly.
In-house judges score entries using the following criteria:
– Aesthetics
– Technique & Composition
– Creativity & Originality
– Theme accuracy
– Adherence to rules/direction
– (Compulsory) placement of a GTBank card in the photo.
The 8 weekly winners will compete for the Grand Prize of
N100,000 in the Grand Finale. The winner of the Grand Finale will be
selected entirely by voting. Votes will be accepted through
635.gtbank.com and our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages. The
contestant with the highest number of cumulative votes within the
stipulated time wins.
6. Shortlisting:
The sponsor reserves the right to shortlist entries at
its sole discretion. Entries will not be shortlisted or may be
disqualified if they:
– Are blurry or dark
– Advertise other brands prominently
– Display contraband items such as alcohol, tobacco, narcotics, etc
– Showcase profanity, nudity or any form of unacceptable imagery
– Are made up of a collage of several images
– Are not the contestant’s original creation
– Are submitted from a social media account with little or no regular activity
– Employ unethical means to garner votes
– Lack originality
– Are photo manipulated
– Showcase unidentifiable items
– Are not aesthetically appealing
– Do not showcase a GTBank card
– Contravene any of the other Terms and Conditions displayed above
