French speaking candidates to monitor
client satisfaction and initiate corrective action where needed, to
fill the position of:

Job Title: Senior Account Manager – French Speaking

Location: Lagos

Job Description
The specific responsibilities shall include the following:

  • Negotiate with client favorable commercial terms (e.g. payment
    terms, prices and price conditions, order pattern etc) and price
    increase based on the division/team pricing objectives and strategy
  • Build the account sales budget annually, monitor sales and profitability versus objectives
  • Monitor and optimize all other financial aspects of the
    account, in particular expenses (incl. market research) vs. budget and
    clients over dues vs obj.
  • Make sure all commercial data and documentation are accurate and properly maintained
  • Manage sales assistant/sales support/project manager (if direct report)
  • Anticipate clients’ needs and lead proactive projects to generate new business opportunities
  • Define accurate pricing and margin parameters for each project,
    according to guidelines, and enter properly all project information in
    Project master/I-cam according to project management rules (incl.
    regulatory) (including project models rules in PE)
  • Monitor client satisfaction and initiate corrective action where needed
  • Maximize business vitality
  • Get clear and complete briefing from clients, translate their
    needs into company projects and brief creation and development teams
  • Oversees entire value chain: product life cycle management,
    demand planning, customer care and supply chain to ensure highest
    customer satisfaction and maximum value extraction
  • Lead/coordinate projects with internal partners and with clients (including fragrance/flavor/ingredient submissions)
  • Share visit reports, client information and feed-backs, and when needed conduct post-mortem analysis

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent (Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Science…)
  • Good team player, seen as a strong partner by the development teams involved in clients’ projects
  • Leadership (mainly with non hierarchical partners) and decision making
  • Extended knowledge of the company’s tools and working policies & guidelines
  • Strong business
  • Supply Chain understanding (product life cycle, demand planning, order pattern…)
  • Ability to develop solid account plans and contribute to category plans
  • Ability to develop successfully client relationship and to position the company as a key business partner
  • 5+ years of flavor or fragrance sales experience.
  • Good business understanding of both the company and client business, sales role and objectives
  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations to clients and to demonstrate superiority
  • Ability to define, prioritize and implement action plans according to business opportunities and success factors
  • Display high level of cultural sensitivity in dealing with international customers
  • Advanced Sales and Negotiation skills
  • Extended product expertise (product, market, consumer, technical/technology) and passion for fragrance/flavors/Ingredients
