Job Title: Animal Nutritionist
Location: Panda, Karu Local Government, Nasarawa
Industry: Agriculture/Food Production
Description
To ensure that our goals of supporting the success of every poultry and
fish farmer are achieved through the use of our high quality feeds, we
have integrated into our operations, complementary factories for the
processing of soybeans and manufacture of high quality maize meal for
human consumption. With the clear understanding that quality inputs form
the basis for quality feeds, we additionally have a commercial farm
for the cultivation of our core inputs being maize and soybeans.
Job Summary
- The poultry nutritionist will be mandated to ensure that we are
always producing the highest quality feeds which meet the performance
expectations of our customers, while ensuring least cost formulation is
observed. - The nutritionist will be expected to continuously monitor input
options and availability and examine input quality parameters through
the use of our internal laboratory equipment. - Additionally the poultry nutritionist will be expected to work
closely with quality control to monitor final product quality and
nutritional parameters are met. - It is also expect that the poultry nutritionist will work
closely with our internal poultry feed trials and with our farmers to
ensure our feeds continue to meet and exceed expectations, while
continuously seeking options for diet improvements.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate current poultry diets to determine nutritional value.
- Evaluate inputs for nutritional values and quality monitoring.
- Examine alternate input options.
- Setting up and managing a laboratory for product testing, of
both inputs and out puts from a feed mill, oil mill and maize meal
factory. - Working with external laboratories as may be required for
regular testing and cataloguing of input and output nutritional values. - Formulating diets on a lowest cost basis.
- Formulating diets to meet certain bird performance targets.
- Formulating premixes and feed concentrate packages based on market and customer requirements.
- Assessing input suppliers and products being offered.
- Managing poultry feed trial farm, monitoring, data collection and analysis of feed formulations against poultry performance.
- Formulate diets for specific regions and climatic conditions.
- Providing information and nutritional support to customers as may be required.
Requirements
- 8 years experience in a similar role.
- Experience in lowest cost diet formulation software.
- Laboratory development and management is essential.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
- Extensive experience in poultry diet development is essential, for both Layer and Broiler birds.
- Self motivated and hard working.
Job Title: Sales and Marketing Manager
Location: Nasarawa
Industry: Agriculture/Food Production
Description

processing of soybeans and manufacture of high quality maize meal for

Job Summary
- The Sales and Marketing Manager will be mandated to oversee all
aspects of sales and marketing for the company, reporting to the
Managing Director. - They will be expected to generate a greater understanding of the
market environment for the company’s products, including poultry feeds,
fish feeds, vegetable oil and maize meal, through research and market
investigations. - They will be required to develop and implement marketing
strategies and plans to further capitalise on the market opportunities
available, through the implementation of social media and advertising
campaigns, educational seminars etc. - The Sales and Marketing Manager will be expected to ensure the
company is in close contact with its customers to ensure their
expectations and requirements are being met by the company, and if
necessary new products are being develop to meet these expectations. - They will be expect to provide regular feed back to the MD and
other Senior Managers with marketing reports, market trend information
and competitor activity. - They will be expected to manage all sales and marketing staff, including customer service staff, sales reps etc.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies, including advertising, social media, educational seminars etc.
- Develop sales and marketing budgets.
- Conduct continuous market evaluation with and through the sales
and marketing team to monitor and track market trends, competitor
activity and developing opportunities. - Monitor, develop and implement pricing of products in conjunction with market intelligence gathered.
- Provide monthly sales forecasts to MD and other senior management.
- Travel to and spend time in each region the company operates to monitor implementation and yields of sales strategies.
- Build strong business and brand loyalty with all customers.
- Monitor all customer activity, with specific interest in the
distributors of the company, while also working with these distributors
with the aim of maximising sales achievable by each distributor. - Managing all sales and marketing staff, including developing and
setting sales target structures, setting commission structures and
monitoring performance. - Developing or working with graphics developers to develop marketing and advertising literature including fliers and posters.
- Developing or working with designers to develop and/or update appropriate product packaging as may be required.
Requirements
- 8 years experience in a similar role.
- Experience in developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns.
- Graphics or design software experience.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong presentation development and delivery skills.
- Strong leadership and management skills.

Job Title: Management Accountant
Location: Nassarawa
Description

human consumption. With the clear understanding that quality inputs form
the basis for quality feeds, we additionally have a commercial farm
for the cultivation of our core inputs being maize and soybeans.
Summary
- The position requires a highly motivated, professional,
qualified and experienced management accountant to join the growing
company team. - The position will be filled with a commercially minded
individual with strong management accounting and administrative
experience a similar manufacturing company. - The candidate will be required to manage the company’s overhead
and reoccurring costs, conduct regular analysis of expenditure,
comparing such to budgets, investigating anomalies, etc. - The position also takes responsibility for payroll, taxes and
the fulfilling of statutory regulations. The position is expected to
provide monthly reports to the managing director and other senior
management.
Requirements
- 5 years experience in a similar role.
- Quickbooks or similar accounting software experience essential.
- Very high level of computer literacy is essential.
- Experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing and leading a team.
Responsibilities
- Keeping financial accounts of the Company in accordance with appropriate accounting standards;
- Follow-up and interactions with the external and internal auditors;
- Reconciliation of mutual settlements with customers;
- Payroll responsibilities;
- Ensure adequate payments control;
- Responsibility for all journals and final GL balances including
review of month end balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts; - Maintenance over Fixed Assets/Inventory registers;
- Responsibility for best practice governance standards and documentary support for all transactions.
- Preparation of all statutory tax returns and reports – PAYE, income tax, VAT, etc.
- Coordinating work of 1-2 subordinate accountants or accounting assistants;
- Undertake regular bank statement reconciliation
