Job Description:

Our ideal AWS SaaS Ops Engineer is a highly motivated individual with a broad technical

footprint. You get to optimizing SAAS infrastructure, become an expert on the latest SAAS

technologies, and invent industry best practises along the way. You will be a principal contributor

within our Engineering team, and will own the implementation, support and evolution of our SaaS

environments, designing and building a highly scalable, unprecedented, globally deployed

infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
    Architect experience within large environments especially within core technology offerings.
    Perform a wide variety of technical and administrative duties in overall systems design,

development, and delivery.
    Work in conjunction with IT, Engineering, and business groups to understand functionality,

scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements from the database perspective.
    Develop and maintain an in depth understanding of the application/system/database

architecture and the general application functionality used to maintain data integrity.
    Participate in SaaS infrastructure deployments.
    Be a cross functional, contributing member of our Change Control Board (CCB) and Production

Change Teams (PCT) to deploy changes to production and other environments.
    Recommend solutions on system/database to meet the technical and business needs for SaaS

applications.
    Oversee data fixes for business issues or to address application issues.
    Be accountable for proper backup and disaster recovery procedures.

Desired Skills and Experience
Required Experience and Education:

    Have 5 – 7 years’ experience in IT Operations or Engineering Support (this is mandatory please

do not apply without IT, SaaS, or AWS experience)

    Are an expert in informations systems

    Have experience working with Linux, and Windows.

    Are a master of in- depth scripting knowledge

    Are an expert in VMWare, and Amazon Cloud in an Enterprise setting

    Are familiar with networking technologies (Firewalls, Load balancers, switches, routers).

    Have excellent troubleshooting skills

    Experience with Class 1 application setup and support

    Have hands-on experience working in .NET or J2EE environments

    Are an archmage of web application security concerns specifically Confidentiality, Integrity and

Availability

    Possess a deep understanding of hosted, highly available, multi-tenancy applications

    Know Puppet, Apache Solr, S3, Clojure, Nagios, Webmetrics

    It’d be a great bonus if you were familiar with MS Exchange, Postfix, MTAs, SMS (smtp &

native) and voice call/VOIP routing

Total Compensation is US$80,000/year
