Job Title: Portfolio Assistant (Support Credit Officer)
Location: Owerri, Nigeria
Job Descriptions
- FINCA is recruiting for highly-motivated and detail-oriented
Portfolio Assistant (Support Credit Officer) to be part of the pioneer
team for FINCA Microfinance bank in Owerri, Nigeria. - Portfolio Assistant report to the Credit Supervisor/Branch Manager
in the branch and is responsible for the management of handed over
portfolio (Current and Arrears<30days) and relief of a Credit Officer
while on leave.
Qualifications and Experience
- OND level of education
- Proficient in English Language and Igbo Language will be an advantage
- Not or will not be engaged in full time program for the next 1 year of employment
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Relief portfolio of CRO when her/is proceed on all kinds of approved
leave (maternity, Annual, Causal, compassionate, etc) upon allocation
by the authorized officer. - Services is engaged upon emergencies (Termination of CRO, Sick CRO,
Absconded CRO and other activity that might hinder the CRO) pending a
suitable plan is perfected by the BM/Supervisor. - Services is disengaged upon full handover is completed with the
CRO upon resumption/availability of the CRO or alternative officer
provided by the BM/Supervisor - Management of handed over portfolio (Current and Arrears
<30days). However, will be required to support the team on customers
beyond this class of customers. - Assist supervisor/reliever CRO on recapping of mature loans in the portfolio. This excludes financial evaluation of customers.
