Meblink Pharmacy and Stores in Owerri, is a new pharmaceutical retailer committed to offering only genuine medicine and merchandise. To drive its operations, it seeks to employ a Nurse, Laboratory Scientist with a laboratory and a Pharmacist to join the team.


Title: Nurses

Essential duties of the job include:

Assessing and planning nursing care requirements.
Providing pre- and post-operation care.
Monitoring and administering medication and intravenous infusions.
Taking patient samples, pulses, temperatures and blood pressures.
Writing records.
Organizing workloads.

Education, Certifications and/or Experience

·         Relevant qualification in Nursing and Midwifery

·         There will be no relocation allowance




Title: Pharmacists

Location Imo

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders; detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.
Dispenses medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
Controls medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions.
Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians’ work flow; verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
Provides pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals; counseling patients on drug therapies.
Develops hospital staff’s pharmacological knowledge by participating in clinical programs; training pharmacy staff, students, interns, externs, residents, and health care professionals.
Complies with state and federal drug laws, maintaining records for controlled substances; removing outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory; supervising the work results of support personnel; maintaining current registration; studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; advising management on needed actions.
Protects patients and technicians by adhering to infection-control protocols.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Maintains pharmacological knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Skills and Competencies

Education, Certifications and/or Experience

·         HND or Bsc in Pharmacy or related field
·         Must be registered pharmacists with pharmacy degree in addition to at least two years work experience in a pharmaceutical retail outfit.

Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist

Roles and Responsibilities

Good knowledge of laboratory equipment
Collect blood or tissue samples from patients, observing principles of asepsis to obtain blood sample.
Maintaining and updating professional knowledge and taking responsibility for continuing professional development (CPD).
Perform all tasks, duties and tests related to laboratory services
Process specimens utilizing protocols and technical knowledge
Perform quality control, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting protocols to ensure proper functioning of instruments, reagents, procedures, etc
Validate and report results of tests performed
Able to meet Turnaround time and in conformance with applicable confidentiality requirements
Knowledge of Good Laboratory practice.
Attend all trainings as required by the hospital, relevant national policies and Laboratory Practice license requirements
Research and develop new procedures as required.
Requirements

Must have a functional laboratory in Owerri, Imo state.
Willing to operate from the Pharmacy.
Must be registered with practicing license.
Knowledge in the handling of modern laboratory equipment.
Computer literate.
Knowledge in use of Standard Operating Procedures in the field.
Must be willing to adhere to company rules and regulations.
Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience.
