The Health Communication Capacity Collaborative (HC3) supports the US
President’s Malaria Initiative’s (PMI) goal of significantly reducing
deaths from malaria in high burden African countries. Social and
behavior change communication (SBCC) activities ensure Nigerians are
aware of, understand, and play their part in the national goal of
malaria elimination. HC3 Nigeria is working with the National Malaria
Elimination Program (NMEP) and partnering organizations to ensure SBCC
activities achieve scale and intensity throughout the country. With over
177 million people to reach, Nigeria is the most populous country in
Africa. Interventions introduced have to achieve impact with a
combination of wide reach and intense interpersonal communication
activity.
We are recruiting to fill the position of:
Job Title: Administrative Assistant, USAID H3C Nigeria Project Funded by PMI
Location: Nigeria
Supervision: Administrative and Human Resources Officer will supervise the administrative assistant
Summary
- The Administrative Assistant for the USAID HC3 Nigeria Malaria
Project funded by PMI is responsible for providing office support by
assisting with administrative systems, logistics and procedures.
Administrative Assistant Skills and Qualifications
- Strong spoken and written English skills
- Fluency in Hausa and one other local language preferred
- High level administrative writing skills
- Skilled in Microsoft Office -Excel and Word
- Professional and organized
- Experienced in Supply management and inventory control
- Excellent verbal communication
- Internet research abilities
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following, other duties may be assigned:
- Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive
maintenance requirements, calling for repairs; maintaining equipment
inventories. - Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine
inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting
orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies. - Carry out clerical functions such as field telephone calls,
copying and collating, and opening, sorting, and distributing incoming
faxes and mail. - Arrange meetings and other gatherings.
- Collect quotations for supplies and services
- Accompany HC3 staff to conferences, trainings, and meetings both on and off HC3 Nigeria premises to assist with logistics.
- Make travel and accommodation arrangements.
- General coordination and support to HC3 Nigeria personnel.
